FAMILIAR FACES
CHAPTER 1
°What am I going to wear I have to be at the interview in ten minutes!!° Minda thought as she frantically looked through her closet °Yes this is perfect° She had decided on a trimming black business suit.
Once Minda had put the suit on she had five minutes to be at the interview with everything prepared. She had been waiting for this day a long time and it was finally here!! The day that would change her life forever. Minda was going to an interview for the position of an internet expert.
Just the other day a company by the name of transcon records had called her for the conformation of an interview. It was a job full of dreams for her because it involved her one true passion traveling and of course her other passion the internet. All she knew about it was she would be traveling on the road for a couple of months with a band called *N Sync she had never heard of them before or anything but as soon as she heard travel and internet she said yes.
°Good god I'm actually here on time°
Minda took one last look at herself and with that she got out of the car and entered the large building. She looked around the room and found what she was looking for. Minda walked over to the desk where a man was sitting.
"May I help you Miss?" the man said in a voice that made him sound gay "Yes I'm here for an interview with Mr. Pearlman regarding the internet expert" She said "Oh yes he is waiting in his office just go strait down that hall way, make a left, when you get to the third door on the right go in and that's his office" "Thank you oh by the way I'm Minda Greenberg I didn't quite catch your name" "That's because I didn't tell you!" the man said in a snobbish voice. Instead of replying she just went on her way.
While walking she had so many thoughts rushing through her mind that she didn't notice where she was walking and tripped over something almost falling to the ground when someone caught her.
"Are you alright Miss?" a tall dark young man said "Huh? Oh yah thank you. I'm sorry I'm just such a klutz sometimes" "That's ok well it seemed like you are in a hurry so I'll let you go maybe i'll see you around sometime?" "Yeah maybe well i have to go" Minda rushed off and stood in front of the door it read 'Lou Pearlman'. Minda knocked on the door then opened it.
"Hello Ms. Greenberg How are you today?" a husky man behind a desk said with a smile. "I'm doing great and you Mr. Pearlman?" "Oh very good and you can call me Lou" "Ok Lou you can call me Minda" "Well why don't we get this meeting started? Huh?" "Yes I think we should I'm very eager to hear what this is all about" "Well Minda You're here because we need your help making a web site for the next big thing to hit America, a group called N SYNC" "Ok that sounds good so far" "You might have already heard their first single called 'I want you back' and seen their video but we need you to go on tour with them and and make their official site and I heard that your the best person for that job so what do you say?" "I say yes!! It sounds perfect traveling and internet is the perfect match for me!! When do I start?" "Well it's great to know how eager you are about this job you can start today if you really want to?" "I'd love to" "Then it's settled you stay right here and I'll be right back with your contract" "Ok"
Lou left the room and Minda sat there looking around at the different picture when she came across a picture with some familiar faces in it. She stood up to get a closer look then sat back down.
°Hey those are the Backstreet Boys, I love their music°
Lou came back in with her contract and put it on the table on the blank area in front of her. Minda Looked up and smiled before talking.
"Did you create the Backstreet Boys?" she asked. "Uh-huh!! Do you like them?" "Yeah their great their voices interact with each other so well it's just incredible" "well if you like them you'll love nsync!!" Lou said extremely proud "I'm sure I will, so where do you want me to sign?" Minda asked and Lou explained the whole contract to her. To Minda it just seemed all to easy.
"I'm so glad to have you part of the family and I'm almost positive the guys will like you as much as I do." "That's great so I'll meet them tomorrow?" "Yep and bright and early tomorrow morning 9:30" "Ok I'll see you tomorrow. Bye Lou and thanks for everything" "Your welcome"
Minda walked down the hall way and up to the front desk. "Now since I'm part of transcon records would you mind telling me your name?" "Yes my name is Drake and if your wondering yes I'm gay!" "Well thanks for the 411 see you tomorrow bye" "bye"
