CHAPTER 6
"Do you see your friends?" Joey eagerly asked. "Yeah they are over there" Minda said pointing at Janine and Shayna. "I'll be right back" Joey said leaving the table with a huge grin on his face.
"Hello ladies" Joey said to Janine and Shayna. "Hi" Janine said "How are you this fine evening?" "Sorry if I'm rude when I say this but what do you want?" Janine said giving him a weird look. "Do you want to dance?" The tall man said holding his hand out for one of them to grab it. "Ok I'll dance with you" Janine said and reached for his hand. "Ok I'll keep watch for Minda" "Minda? Who's Minda?" Joey asked. "Oh she is our best friend and we're looking for her" Shayna said still looking around the club. "Does she have brown hair?" "Yeah" "Does she have freckles?" "Yeah" "Does she have a really good body?" "I guess" "You should introduce me to her!!" "Yeah whatever go dance" "Shayna keep looking!!" "K"
Joey led Janine to the dance floor for a slow dance.

back at the table

"Minda do you want to dance?" JC asked looking straight into her eyes. "Yeah sure"
She stood up and glanced over at Justin, who had a big smile on, and mouthed "Alright your my new best friend". Then they went out to the dance floor hand in hand. Right after Justin couldn't see them any more he remembered where Minda's friends were and decided to go get a look. When he got close enough to see Shayna perfectly he almost couldn't stand on his own two feet because he thought she was so fine. He walked over tying to act smooth.
"Hi my name is Justin what's yours?" "My name's Shayna" "That's a really pretty name" "Thank you" "So would you like to dance?" "Well I'm kinda looking for someone but maybe they're on the dance floor so sure I'd love to dance" "Ok"
Justin led Shayna on to the dance floor just as another song came on and it was another slow one.
Minda had her head laying on JC's shoulder and he had his arms tightly rapped around her waist with hers tightly rapped around his neck. °I am absolutely loving this moment!!! I definitely think this was meant to be!!!!° Minda thought to herself. JC's smooth voice broke her thoughts.
"Can I tell you something?" "Sure what do you want to tell me?" They were now inches away from each other gazing into one another's eyes. "Um...... well I'm not sure how to put this?" "Just say it don't worry nothing you say will hurt me" "Well I know we've only known each other for a short while but...."
"Minda!!!!! Oh my god your alright!!!! I'm sooooo glad I found you!!" "Yeah I'm perfectly fine it was just joke that I played on you and Shayna!!" "You what?!" Shayna had been standing right there in Justin's arms. "I played a little joke on you guys!! Ha ha funny funny" "So no one was out to get you??" Janine asked really disappointed. "Sorry but no" "Oh well, so are you going to introduce him?" Janine said pointing to JC. "Oh!! well this is JC, and that is Justin and your dancing with Joey" "How do you them?" "They are the guys of nsync" "Oh my god your kidding me?" "No" "Oh my god!!!! Oh my god!!!!" "Janine calm down your making a full of yourself" "Oh sorry" "Well now that we're all introduced why don't we go over and sit at our table?" Joey said.
They all went and sat down where Chris and Lance had been sitting laughing at them.
"And who might these ladies be?" Chris asked in an English accent. "I'm Shayna" "I'm Janine and you are?" "I'm Chris" "And I'm Lance"
They all just sat there for a minute until the song "I want you back" came on. And Justin stood up before talking.
"Well Freckles I've seen you slow dance and now is the time to really dance so come on!" Justin said and put his hand out for her to grab.
"Who told you that you could call me Freckles? Certainly not me!!!" Minda said with a sly smile. "Well of course I did so come on Freckles!!" "This upcoming tour is gonna be a long one isn't it?" "Oh yes it is and trust me you'll love it!!!!"
Justin grabbed her hand and dragged her on to the dance floor and they started dancing.
"She's good!!" Chris said. "Yeah she is!! Hey Lance you could use some lessons from her!! Eh?" "Ha ha Joey very funny!" Lance said and threw a pretzel at him. "I thought it was!!"

"Freckles your pretty good!!" Justin said and then paused "For an amateur" "Excuse me? Who has been alive longer you or me?" Justin just stood there in shock. "That's what I thought!!" "Yeah but who was older when you danced with JC?" "JC" "Oh so your dating an older man!!" "Hey little one watch it I'm not dating him!!" "Not yet!!" "Do you know that you are the most annoying person in the world?" "I'm only annoying cause I'm your new best friend!! Remember?" "Yeah, yeah, yeah I remember...... unfortunately!!" "You know you love me!!" "Whatever you say Justin, whatever you say"
When a slow song came on they went back to their table and sat down.
"I'll be right back I have to go use the ladies room" Minda said as she stood and walked out to the hallway. "Speaking of ladies room please excuse me" Shayna said.
Janine didn't get a chance to Join their little chat cuz she was on the dance floor in Lances arms.

"Minda you in here?" Shayna said. "Yeah" "Ok"
"So what do you think of JC?" "He's nice" "Yeah I know and I really like him a lot!!" "Yeah I can tell!!" "You can?" "Well I can tell cuz we're best friends but I'm not sure bout the other guys" "Justin can, and he claims to be my new best friend!!" "He is hot!!! How old is he?" "How old do you think he is?" "About 20" "Nope he's 17!!" "Really?" "Uh huh" "Wow!!" "Hey we better get going back to the table they might think we're totally crazy" "Well aren't we?" "Yeah but you know what I mean" "Yeah I do let's go."
The two girls left the bathroom and went back to the table. On their way the bumped into someone unexpectedly.
"Hi Minda" "Hello Jack" "What you brings you here? Out on a date?" "Well not...." Shayna nudged her "Yeah I am on a date with one of the guys I work with" "Oh, well aren't you going to introduce me to him?" "Jack! why would do that?!" "I don't know? Why wouldn't you do that?" "Because it's not right to have your ex-boyfriends meet your new ones on the first date!!" "Oh well fine" "Good bye Jack" "Bye"
Minda and Shayna kept walking and they both knew that jack was going to follow them so they just ignored him.
"What took you two so long?" Justin asked. "Well we ran into Minda's ex-boyfriend and he followed us over here but I have a plan" Shayna said. Everybody turned their attention to her. "Ok when we ran into him he asked Minda if she was on a date and she said with someone that works with her so when he comes over here which I know he will, JC will pretend to be Minda's date and...." "And Justin will pretend to be Shayna's" Minda said as she interrupted Shayna. "Ok and um Lance you be Janine's" "Ok" Lance said in his deep southern accent. "Well to make it more believable JC keep your arms wrapped around Minda until I say you can stop pretending and every once in awhile give her a kiss on the cheek or something, and Lance the same ok?" "Ok" everybody said except for Justin. "And what about you and me?" "Well of course we'll do the same Justin" Shayna said with a smile. "Ok" Justin said and put his arm around Shayna.
They were all talking when they were interrupted by Jack. <>"Um could I help?" JC askd Jack. "Well I'm Minda's ex-boyfriend" "And?" "And I just wanted to make that clear to you!!" "What is all this supposed to mean to me?" "Um..... Um..... Um....." "Yeah that's what I thought come on Minda let's go" "Ok baby" "Minda I forbid you to go out with him!!" "EXCUSE ME? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME? YOU FORBID ME? JACK YOU ARE NOT MY BOYFRIEND ANYMORE AND IF YOU CAN'T DEAL WITH IT THEN TOUGH. I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE HELL YOU GOT THE IDEA THAT MY LIFE IS ANY OF YOUR BUSINESS. CAUSE IT'S NOT! YOU HEAR ME JACK? I WANT YOU TO STAND RIGHT HERE AND WATCH ME TURN AROUND AND WALK AWAY CAUSE YOU LOST THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO YOU!" With that Minda took JC's handand nodded to walk way.
"Wow did you make him that crazy?" JC asked in shock. "Well I guess, He wasn't like that when I first started dating him!" "I hope you don't make me that crazy" JC said under his breath hoping she wouldn't hear. "What did you say?" "Huh? I didn't say anything" "Yeah you did. You said something like blah, blah, blah crazy or something like" "Oh I just said all this partying has made me a bit hazy and was going to ask you if you wanted to leave with me?" "Oh! yeah sure thanks for the offer" "No prob let's go" "K hold on. Bye everyone see you Monday" Minda said bye and gave everyone a hug.

"Did you have fun tonight?" JC asked. "Yeah I did" "That's good. So you'd go out with us again?" "Yeah I would. I like the company it's like having brothers again kinda." Minda said with a laugh. "Cool" "Uh huh!! So since we're here do you want to come in?" "Sure maybe I can tell you what I wanted to earlier" "Maybe"
The two walked up to the building gate and Minda opened it, then they walked up to her apartment. When they got inside, Minda went into her room to change, while JC sat on the couch. When she came out JC smiled at her and she smiled back and went into the kitchen.
"JC would you like some coffee?" "Yeah thanks" "Ok"
Minda put the coffee pot on and then walked back into the living room and sat down next to JC.
"So what was it that you wanted to tell me?" "Well I know that we just really met today but I feel like I've known you my whole life" "The feeling is mutual" "It is?" "Yeah" "I guess if it was really mutual then you wouldn't mind if I did this" JC leaned over and placed a soft, short but to the point kiss on her lips. When they pulled apart they were still inches apart from each other. JC stared straight into Minda's eyes and Minda stared right back into his. Then JC pulled Minda closer to him and kissed her yet again, only this time it was more passionate and deep. Minda suddenly pulled away and jumped up. "What's wrong" JC asked very concerned if he had done something. "The coffee!!" "Oh yeah the coffee!! You should take care of that" "Yeah I should um.... hold on I'll be right back" "Ok"
Minda finished the coffee and walked out of the kitchen with two mugs in her small hands.
"So, which one's mine?" "The one with the bear on it" "Wow a bear I feel so lucky!!" "You should that mug is from Israel!" "How'd you get it from Israel?" "I went there senior year of Hebrew high" "Oh that's really cool" "Yeah." "But a Minda?" "Yeah?" "Never mind, look, maybe I should go. It's getting pretty late." "Yeah, Justin might worry." "Uh-huh. Minda..."
JC leaned in and kissed Minda sweetly on the lips....
