CHAPTER 7
“I thought we were going to go out,” Ali whispered as JC nibbled on her ear.
“I changed my mind,” he whispered back, as he slipped his hands under her dress and ran them up and down her thighs. “I wanted to give you my undivided attention tonight”.
No problem with that, Ali thought. Suddenly the radio played another one of her favorite songs. This was a perfect way to set the mood. She scooted over to turn up the volume, but JC tried to drag her back. “Get back here!” he laughed.
“Hang on,” she said. “I’m setting the mood”.
“I love you, and tonight, I wanna take it real, real slow…” The words on the radio echoed though. Ali and JC let the music take them away. He laid her on the bed and began to undress her. He kissed between her breasts and down to her stomach. He went further and began kissing and caressing her thighs. By now, Ali thought she was going to explode. My God, I’m in heaven, she thought as she felt the sensation of JC’s tongue in her mouth. They held each other so tight, and kissed until they were both breathless.
Now it was her turn. His jacket was gone by the time he walked in the door, and now she was unbuttoning his shirt. Now was her chance to see the body that she only saw in pictures. It was mind blowing. She kissed and ran her fingers down his bare chest, and smiled as she heard JC sigh with satisfaction. This was the body of a god, and she was going to treat it as such. Time wasn’t on their mind, only each other.
As they lay together, things suddenly got quiet. Even the music got faint. “What are you thinking about?” he asked.
She looked up at him. “Everything”.
Ali hadn’t felt this way about someone since she and her ex boyfriend Casey had broken up nearly three years ago. It took her so long to get her life back together. She was finally picking up the pieces when she met JC. But he was more than someone who had managed to sweep her off her feet. He was a dream come true. She had spent nearly two years staring at his pictures on her wall, dreaming of the day that they would finally meet. But as time went on, she had convinced herself that it would be nothing less than a teenybopper dream.
Now here they were together, in each other’s arms. She could feel her hands running down his back. She was being immersed in his kisses. It was like a fantasy come true. But it was more than that. JC had it bad for her. She could feel it. It wasn’t just a physical thing. He had been out of reach for so long. He told her that he was a starving child, and she had satisfied his hunger. But they weren’t clawing at each other like animals in heat. There was a passion that was unlike anything that either of them had ever experienced. Now they had their chance, and they were going to make it last.
“I never thought I’d be here…not in a million years”, she said.
“You know what? Neither did I.” JC replied. He reached out and enveloped his hand in hers. “But I wouldn’t go anywhere even if I had to. This has been an incredible night with an incredible woman”. He tilted her head up and gave her a long passionate kiss. “I never thought I’d say this but…”
“But what? Tell me what’s on your mind”.
“I think I’m in love.”
Ali was taken aback. Not because the idea scared her, but because she was thinking the exact same thing. She wrapped her arms around him and pulled herself to him. “Looks like our minds are in the same place”. But neither one of them could say those three words. They were both still in shock, especially Ali. She was hearing this from the man of her dreams who, up until now, had been just that.
“This has to be love,” JC said as Ali started kissing his neck. He ran his fingers through her hair as she went and stared into his eyes. “You’re glowing”.
“So are you”. They laughed.
“All I know is that I’m not going to rush a good thing.” They both agreed that this wasn’t going to be something that went by fast. They were going to enjoy every moment.
Ali was feeling things that she hadn’t felt in a long time. This was love, but she wasn’t sure. She had never really been with anyone like this since Casey. All the sudden feelings made Ali shiver.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” JC asked softly.
“Nothing”, she replied quietly.
“No”, he said, rubbing her shoulders. “You’re shaking”.
“This is just weird for me.” Ali replied. “It’s been a long time. This is like a dream come true…”
JC just held her closer. “It’s ok,” he said, stroking her face. That feels so good. “Nothing’s going to happen if you don’t want it to. Now just relax”. He tilted her head up and kissed her gently on the lips. “You got me all to yourself…I’m not going anywhere”. With that, Ali rested her head on his bare chest, and suddenly, the sounds of their beating hearts were all that could be heard.
The light of the early morning woke Ali up. She looked outside and saw the sun coming up over the horizon. They had fallen asleep in each other’s arms. The sunrise was breathtaking. She looked at the clock. It was almost six o’clock.
“JC…baby, wake up. It’s almost six o’clock.”
JC stirred and looked at the clock. “Yep. Damn, I have to leave for that promo in an hour.”
“Look outside”, she said with a smile.
JC looked and awed at the sun as it came over the horizon. He smoothed Ali’s hair and kissed her on the forehead. “Almost as beautiful as you.”
The compliments made Ali blush. She moved over to let JC get out and take his shower. “Sure you don’t want to join me?” he asked with a smile.
She went over and they kissed until they were out of breath. “Baby go get ready before the guys come looking for you”.
“Yes Mrs. Chasez”
“Excuse me?” Ali was in shock. But he wouldn’t answer. He simply smiled his sweetest smile as he grabbed his clothes and went into the bathroom.
Whoa. What a night. And we didn’t even go all the way. Ali was sort of proud of them. They managed to behave themselves. Well, sort of. At least something didn’t happen that they didn’t want to happen. Then she thought of Rose. Oh my god, she’s going to have a baby when she hears about this. She turned over and quickly dialed Rose’s number.
“Girl, this better be good if you’re calling me at six in the morning.”
“You said you wanted details”.
She heard Rose jump out of bed and nearly break a leg. “Details NOW”.
Ali told her all about last night, even what they had said to each other. On the other line, Rose’s eyes got wider and wider. “You mean to tell me that, after all that, you didn’t go all the way?”
“Nope. I guess we didn’t feel like we needed to”.
“Cause a few times you felt like you were already there, right?”
“Something like that”.
“Bye babe”. Ali heard Rose kiss Lance goodbye.
“Sounds like your night went just as good”.
“Oh yeah. The man has definitely grown up”.
“Hehe, you said up”. The girls cracked up laughing. “Did you guys…”
“No”
“So it was pretty much the same scenario as mine?”
Rose shook her head. “Not quite. You know Lance is a gentleman. I told him I didn’t want to and we didn’t. But we came pretty close.”
“Same here. Did he say to you what JC said to me?”
“You mean, the L word?”
“Yeah”
“Nah. We didn’t go that far. He said he loved you?”
“He said that he thought he was in love…of course then I started working my charm on him, and he was like ‘this has to be love’. But we both decided that we aren’t’ going to rush things.”
“That’s a good idea.” Rose was impressed. “Anything else?”
“Oh yeah.” Ali was still thinking about his comment that he made before he got into the shower. “He called me ‘Mrs. Chasez’ before he got into the shower”.
“NO WAY?”
“Way. I’m still trying to figure it out. He wouldn’t answer me either. He just grinned and went into the bathroom.”
“What a little shit”. Rose started laughing.
“I’m sayin’” Then she heard JC come out of the bathroom. “Girl, we need to hook up somewhere. Come by the hotel later on this afternoon. What time did Lance say they’d be done with the promo?”
“Probably around two. He said that we should all get together and go out for lunch”.
“That sounds like a good idea. That way you and I can get the good stuff out of the way.” They both laughed. “Well, what time should I expect you over?”
“It would help if I knew where you were at”
“Oh right. Sorry, blonde moment. Grand Royale, room 279”.
Rose laughed. “Now that’s cute”.
“Shut up and I’ll see you about 11?”
“11:30. I need some time to get changed and stuff. But I’ll give you the whole scoop when I get there”
“Nah, I’ll let you keep him…I got JC” Ali started laughing.
“Bite me. WAIT! Don’t even go there!” Now they were both crakcing up.
Ali regained herself. “Alright you lazy bum. I’ll talk to you later. I need to get JC out of here before the guys start looking for him.” With that, they hung up.
JC came out of the bathroom fully dressed and ready. “Wow, that didn’t take long,” Ali said with a grin.
JC smiled. “What can I say? I’ve perfected the art”.
“Well, I just got off the phone with Rose and Lance was on the way out the door, so you better get a move on”.
JC went over and started putting the sheets over on the bed. “So what are you ladies up to today?”
“Rose is coming over around 11. Also, we’re all getting together for lunch when you get done with the promo”.
“Sounds like a plan”. He went over and ran his hands up under her dress. “Mmmm…I can’t wait for more of this”. He said with a laugh.
Ali smirked. “Whatever, you flaming ball of hormones. We said we weren’t going to rush things, right?”
“That doesn’t mean I can’t dream. Besides,” he pulled her to him. “I didn’t need to go all the way last night to know that you felt absolutely incredible. You’ve got me hooked, what can I say”, he went and started passionately kissing her neck.
Ali started to cave in, but then she saw the clock. “Baby, you need to get going. I don’t want the guys to kick both of our asses”.
JC pulled away and kissed her on the lips for the last time. “I will call you as soon as we get a break. If I don’t call you, I’ll see you afterwards. We’ll be picking you and Rose up here, ok?”
“Sounds like a plan…Mr. Chasez”. JC smiled. Maybe she’s catching on, he thought. She led him out and slowly closed the door after him.
