CHAPTER 13
Jensen sat alone in the waiting room while Justin was in the ER. She was slumped in the uncomfortable hospital chairs, clutching their armrests until her knuckles were white. Suddenly Josh and the guys burst through the entrance. They made a beeline for Jensen asking questions a mile a minute.
"Is Justin ok?" Chris cried
"Can we see him?" asked Lance
"Are you ok, baby?" Josh asked pulling her into his embrace
"What the hell happened?" asked Joey
Jensen sighed and slowly told them the nights events that had led up to this tragedy. Joey sat their in shock.....he had been telling Justin all along to go for it with Jensen...how could he not have seen the obvious connection between JC and Jensen was the question running through his mind.
"I don't know if I will ever forgive myself." Jensen said after she finished telling the guys what happened
"Oh Jensen, you have to. If you keep guilt inside of you for too long it will eat you alive." Lance said gently
Jensen turned to look Josh squarely in the face. She caressed his cheek and gave him a sad smile, "I would understand it if you never wanted to see me again."
"Never say that. Never. I love you Jensen, and there's nothing you could ever do that could change that." Josh leaned down and gave her a small kiss, then pulled her back into a tight embrace.
"Excuse me, are any of you the family of Justin Timberlake?" asked the emergency room doctor
"No, but we're his best friends. His family can be called to fly here if need be." Chris answered
"Well, alright then. I'm Dr. Horton, I was the doctor who first attended to Mr. Timberlake's needs. He was very lucky, although he had some broken bones and serious gashes, there was no internal bleeding or brain damage. He is in ICU right now because he is still unconscious. You may go in to see him one at a time." the doctor nodded at them and left to take care of other patients "You see Jensen, everything will be alright." Josh smiled at her
Jensen was trembling in his arms, crying tears of relief.
"May I go see him first? There are some things I need to tell him." Jensen asked the guys
"Yeah, but don't hog him too long...." Joey laughed lightly
"Oh, I wouldn't be too worried about that, he'll probably kick me out of his room right away."
"Ummm, Jensen, that would be kinda hard considering the fact that he's unconscious! I seriously doubt that he would kick you out even if he was awake." Chris joked
"I should kick your bootie for that one.....cause it's not even funny, but I'm too scared and worried about Justin right now to deal with you." Jensen turned her back on Chris and leaned in for a small kiss from Josh before heading to ICU 5 where Justin lay completely oblivious to the world around him.
