CHAPTER 18
Lance was in a daze as he wondered back to the beach house. He walked inside and laid down on the couch. JC and Jensen walked in holding hands and talking loudly, when they saw Lance on the couch JC thought that Lance had struck out with the girl he had liked.
"Lance," JC said putting his hand on Lance's shoulder, "it's OK. She's just a girl. Besides there are thousands of girls who would love to go out with you."
"No...she said yes. Actually she asked me out. We're doing dinner and a movie tomorrow night." Lance answered
"Then why are you looking so depressed?" Jensen asked
"Because, ya know that big dude?" JC nodded, "Well, that's her ex-boyfriend who really wants to get back with her. He told me I better not screw things up for them. I'm afraid that bastard is gonna make my life a living hell. I don't know how Tyler and I can have a real relationship with that goon around." Lance sighed "How does she feel about the goon?" Jensen asked
"Oh, she seems annoyed with him and ready to move on with her life, without Jason."
"Jason's the big dude?" JC asked
"Yep." Lance said
"So what are you going to do?" JC asked
After a few moments of contemplation he answered. "I'm gonna have the time of my life with Tyler tomorrow.....and God be with me if Jason finds out." and with that Lance got up and left the room. Josh and Jensen stared at eachother in shock.
"This is gonna be one hell of a vacation." Josh said
"No sh*t." Jensen answered.

The next morning the group decided a day of fun in the sun was needed. Justin, Mariah, Josh, Jensen, Joey, Chris and Lance decided to spend the day at their own private beach.
"Guys, would you mind if I called Tyler and asked her to come over?" Lance asked the group at the breakfast table.
"Go for it Lansten." Justin exclaimed as he refilled his bowl of Apple Jacks
"Ok, I will." Lance got up from the table and made his way over to the telephone.
{RING RING}
"Hello?" answered a groggy Tyler
"Hi Tyler, this is Lance. Did I call to early?"
"No. I'm just not a morning person. What's up?"
"Well, me and my friends are just gonna hang out at the beach today, and I was wondering if you could come."
"Are we still on for the movie and stuff?"
"Oh yeah....I just liked the idea of spending an entire day with you, not just the night."
"That's sweet Lance. Sure, I'll come. I'll be over in an hour or so, ok?"
"Sure, that sounds great. Bye."
"Bye." Tyler hung up the phone slowly and smiled.

"She's coming guys." Lance said as he walked over to them with a triumphant smile on his face
"All right Scoop!" cheered Chris
"Come on guys, let's hit the sand!" Joey yelled.
The entire group dashed upstairs to get into their bathing suits. Lance trailed slowly behind them....he couldn't wait to see Tyler again.
