CHAPTER 14
(Hotel 6am/Two days before JC's 22nd birthday)
BEEP BEEP BEEP
Kaitlyn's pager went off.
(KAITLYN)
*Who the hell would be paging me this early in the morning! I swear,
whoever it is, they will feel my tight grip around their neck!*
Kaitlyn got up and looked at her pager. She didn't recognize the number, but she called anyways. It rang and rang, but oddly, she could've sworn that a phone was also ringing somewhere near her. She got out of bed and opened the door to find no one in the hallway. She closed the door and looked around. Then she noticed the connecting door to the left. She didn't know who's room it was, but she was certain that it was of somebody from the group. She knocked on the door twice then opened it gently. No one was inside but someone's luggage was still there. It was that phone in the next room that she had dialed.
"Funny. Who's in this room anyways." Kaitlyn said to herself.
She heard a noise come from her bedroom so she slowly walked back. She was halfway through the doors when both Chris and Joey jumped out from both sides and scared her.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kaitlyn screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Cool it Kait, it's just us!" Chris said covering his ears.
"JUST YOU! JUST YOU!! You two almost gave me a heart attack, 6:00 in the morning!" She said pushing the two away.
"Oh, sorry. We thought you would be awake by now." Joey apologized.
"Normally I would. But I have the day off since you guys have photo shoots all day today." Kaitlyn said going into the bathroom and washing her face.
"Oh yeah. Well anyways, why don't you come along with us?" Joey asked her.
"And forfeit a nice comfortable day of sleep without you guys here to bug me?" She coyly said.
"Very funny. C'mon, it'll be a blast." Joey tried persuading her with a feisty look on his face.
"Well, alright." Kaitlyn said agreeing to their offer.
"But, before you guys go, can I talk to you about something?"
"Yeah, sure." Chris answered.
"Well, JC's birthday is in two days and I had an idea that maybe we could throw him a surprise party." Kaitlyn proposed.
"I don't know chica. JC isn't quite the surprise party type. And plus, we're doing a concert that night." Joey pointed out to her.
"Well, he seems really homesick since he won't be able to spend his birthday with his family. So I have an idea."

(Hotel Lobby)
Justin, JC, and Lance were already downstairs in the lobby waiting for Chris and Joey. Kaitlyn, Joey and Chris all made their way out of the elevator lobby and walked over to the three of them. JC and Justin were both kind of surprised to see Kaitlyn with them.
"Hey Kaitlyn." Lance greeted her.
"Good morning Lance." Kaitlyn said sitting next to him. "Mornin' JC, Justin."
JC went over to her and gave her a hug, "morning sweetheart."
Justin just stood in the spot he had been standing in and groaned.
"What's wrong with him?" Kaitlyn asked kind of worried.
"Oh, don't worry about it, he's just sour cause he hasn't had breakfast yet." Chris explained to her.
"So what you doing up this early? We don't have a show tonight." Lance said looking over at her.
"Oh, well...Joey and Chris persuaded me to come along."
"Joey and Chris, huh? You mean Joey right?" JC chuckled.
"Yeah. But then again, he is a good negotiator. So, is it okay with you guys that I tag along."
"Fine with me." Lance smile.
"As long as it's okay with Lou." JC said serious.
(KAITLYN)
*Such the sophisticated grown up of the group, well, sort of.*
"Yeah. I talked to Lou on the phone. He said you guys got about twelve more shows added to the tour." Kaitlyn said very proud of them.
"I can't believe it all." Lance said amazed at their growing popularity.
Kaitlyn nodded her head in agreement and continued, "yeah. You guys deserve all this success. So, who's up for some breakfast?"
Right away Kaitlyn's attention turned in Justin's direction when his hand shot up and a brightening groan came from his direction.
"Good, wait here." Kaitlyn got out of her seat and walked over to House and all the other bodyguards.
The five guys looked at each other and then at Kaitlyn as she discussed breakfast plans with security. Within minutes, Kaitlyn came back to the group of hungry and curious guys.
"So where we headed?" JC asked as he began to yawn.
"Well, sleepy head, why don't you all get into the van and you'll find out." Kaitlyn said with a grin.
"Alright." Lance answered for the rest of them.
Tony, one of the new bodyguards, finished setting everything up and escorted them along with House and Slim to the van. There were nine seats on the bus. Chris, Joey, and House sat in the back of the bus, JC and Lance in the two seats in front of them and Justin and Kaitlyn strapped together in the second row of seats.

It didn't take long to get to their destination but everyone was still pretty grumpy. JC yawned every five seconds, Chris and Joey were both arguing over some kind of food, and Justin was so tired he fell asleep the moment he rested his curly hair filled head on her shoulder. The car made a sharp left and Justin's head went off of Kaitlyn's shoulder and banged right into the window.
"Ohmygosh! Justin, are you alrgiht?" Kaitlyn shrieked.
"OWWW!!!" Justin said grabbing the side of his head.
With her own automatic gut reaction, Kaitlyn went into mom mode and took Justin into her arms.
"You alright man?" Joey called up to him.
"Yeah. He'll be fine. It's only a little red." Kaitlyn said rubbing the red spot.
Tony turned to check on Justin but Justin just buried his face in Kaitlyn's hands. She knew that he was still in pain and still very sleepy. House drove the van into the parking lot of a vacant "McDonald's" and the four guys hollered in joy. At that moment, Justin's head went straight up.
"So what's up with McDonalds for breakfast?" Lance asked surprised.
"Well, I know you guys have been living off of cereal, oatmeal, and french toast for the past week of the tour. So I thought that a bit of a change would be nice." Kaitlyn said getting out of the van.
"So how's your head Justin?" Kaitlyn continued as he jumped out of the van.
"Oh, just perfect. This was a great idea sweetness." He said kissing her on the cheek. Justin walked off with the rest of them. Kaitlyn stood there for a minute while Tony locked up the car. Initial shock ran down Kaitlyn's body. Justin had kissed her, on the cheek, but still. His soft but strong lips had graced the side of her face. She didn't understand why she was so shaken by it, but she was.
"Kaitlyn? Hello...anyone in there?" Tony said waving his hand in front of her.
"Huh?" Kaitlyn woke from a daydream.
"You alright?" He asked worried.
"I'm fine. I'm alright. Let's go eat!" She answered with a huge grin.

The manager understood the situation and decided to close to the public until they had left. Of course, they were handsomely rewarded with a large bill for some large appetites. Joey and JC ate 2 combos while Chris was excited about ordering 3 kids meals. Lance ordered 2 double cheeseburgers and Justin got practically two of everything on the menu. Breakfast and lunch. Kaitlyn herself wondered why nine in the morning these guys wanted burgers while she herself got a two eggs, suasage, and bacon breakfast meal. It was nice in there since the shades had all been pulled down and they were all excited about being given permission to play in the indoor play area.
"Don't you ever stop eating Justin?" Kaitlyn asked while watching swallow another breakfast meal.
"Not really. I'm a growing man!" He chuckled in between chews.
By 10:00am, all of them were done eating and they were all in the little play area. Chris and Joey went through the little tunnels, Lance and JC were facing off in an arcade game while Justin and Kaitlyn both relaxed in the ball pit. They didn't have to get to the shoot for another hour so they all enjoyed themselves.
"This is probably the highlight of this tour sweetness." Justin said with his eyes closed still lying in the bed of plastic balls.
"Eating at McDonalds?" She asked confused.
"No, spending time like this, with just us. Just you."
Kaitlyn couldn't help but blush once Justin finished his sentence. His gentle blue eyes rest on her while she tried her best not to turn red as an apple. She finally found a way to break the silence. She took as many balls into her hand and tossed them all at Justin.
"Oh no you did not missy!" Justin said grabbing her hand as she tried to grab for more. He let her fall back into the pit as he buried her in. The rest of them decided to join in on the fun and within a couple minutes, they were all buried in.

By 10:40am, they were out of the parking lot and back onto the road. Tony assured them it would only take about ten minutes to get to the photo shoot. All of them were already tired of their little fun, but they still had energy. They seemed bored so JC came up with an idea. Serenade Kaitlyn with a song until they got there. They all sat up and gained their composure. They began to sing the song "I drive myself crazy". They had sounded so original and so beautiful even without the microphones and thousands of screaming girls. But she knew they sang well no matter what.

They got to the shoot just in time and they all headed for the dressing rooms. The location was a beautiful little lake with green rolling hills behind it. She had never thought that Wyoming could be so gorgeous. Two hours later, the guys had finished the first half of the shoot and were ready for lunch. They went over to Kaitlyn who was already at the table full of food.
"Decided to start without us?" Chris said coming up to her and tickling her.
Kaitlyn giggled her way out of Chris' hold and continued eating her hot dog. "Yes. I got hungry, is it okay for me to eat your majesty?"
"But of course. Do finish darling." Chris said majestically.
"So how's the shoot going?" She asked.
"Pretty good. It's real windy though. Joey's actually enjoying it though. Last time I checked, he was getting some wardrobe girls phone number." Lance shook his head.
"Oh my! I can just picture that."
"Hey sweetness." Justin came behind her.
"Hey cutie. Enjoying yourself?"
"More like, are YOU enjoying yourself?" He said spinning her around to come face to face with her.
"Well, I guess." She shrugged.
"That's what I thought." Justin took off his shirt, picked Kaitlyn off her feet, and ran towards the lake.
Kaitlyn kicked and yelled but the JC and Chris just followed them in. The water was freezing cold by the feel of it in her feet. Justin toyed with her and held her out as if he were to drop her in.
"Justin, please! The water is freezing." Just as Kaitlyn pleaded with him, Justin dropped her far enough into the water to wet her all the way.
Once Kaitlyn resurfaced she shrieked in shock of how cold the water was. "JUSTIN RANDALL TIMBERLAKE! YOU ARE SO DEAD!" She said grabbing him and sinking him in. But unfortunately, he took Kaitlyn with him. She once again resurfaced and tried to walk out of the water.
"Oh no you don't," his hand came against her now see through white shirt.
The two of them fought in the water and didn't come out until an hour later. They were having so much fun.....together.
