CHAPTER 6

Kaitlyn arrived at Transcon at ten, which she was not pleased to. She couldn't help it though, she woke up at five and raced over to Cheyanne's place and drove her to the airport. The flight was delayed until eight and by the time she got home, it was already time to leave for the studio. But she made it there by ten at least.

"Hi Kaitlyn, Greg, the public relations counselor is waiting for you in his office." Emily said as she walked by.

"Thanks." Kaitlyn said rushing by. She was halfway down the hallway when she turned around and went back to the front desk. "Umm, Emily, this is real stupid of me but, where's this person's office again?"

Emily giggled at Kaitlyn's expression, "down the hallway, left then three doors down on the right side."

"Thanks."

Kaitlyn made her way through the hallway and came to the last door on the right. The plaque which hung on the door read:

She knocked on the door twice and almost a third time until the door finally opened. The man in front of her was tall and mean-looking. His black hair was beginning to fall out on the sides of forehead. His green scary eyes overlooked her. His straight lip expression gave Kaitlyn chills up and down her back.

"Miss K. Davis, you're 6 minutes late. You will soon learn that I do not encourage that and neither will the public." His low deep voice and fierce accent indicated to her that he was most likely from New York.

"I'm sorry, I was..." Kaitlyn began until he stopped her in the middle of a sentence.

"Please Miss. Davis, you do not speak unless you are spoken to. You must think wisely of what you will say and how you will say it. Before we finish I will give you a contract that you MUST obide, if any terms of that said contract is broken, the contract and your employment here will be termintated as soon as possible......." he said in a rather continuing dull voice.

(KAITLYN)
*GREAT! Just what I need, one huge headache on top of another!*

(Three hours later)

"Ok Miss Davis,this your halfway mark of our little session, you may go have lunch but I want you back here promptly at two-thirty, that gives you exactly and hour and a half to finish eating. We have three more hours after this then we're done."

Kaitlyn really didn't expect the guys to be in the studio today but as she made her way to the lunch room she passed by one of the dance studios, she noticed Lance an Chris in there practing some steps. Kaitlyn knocked on the half open door.

"Hey you two!" She said with a tired smile.

"Hey Kaitlyn, what's wrong? You look sick." Chris said concerned.

"Oh yeah, I'm sick alright. Sick of going rounds with that public relations counselor!" She said mentally pulling her hair out.

"Oh Gregory? Or should I say....Mr. G. Hollenbach?" Lance said, adding a laugh.

"I know, what's up with that?", she said as the two shook their heads. "Anways, where's the rest of the gang?"

"Joey's flirting with one of the new assistant managers, JC is still in the recording studio writing some songs, Justin is STILL eating and I'm helping Lance here with some dance moves our choreagrapher Darren added for the Disney Special."

Kaitlyn looked over at the two of them. They were all trying really hard to make this special the best. And she had faith that they would."So you guys are really working yourselves to the bone for this aren't you?"

The two nodded in a tired expression.

Kaitlyn gave them a sorrowful look and added,"well, try not to get yourselves too worked out. If you know what I mean. Well, I'm loosing time before I go back to the counselor from hell. I'm gonna go get a bite to eat. Catch ya later!"

Kaitlyn made her way into the lunch room and saw Justin already grubbing on some pasta and sandwiches.

"Hey cutie, you look like your in heaven right now with all that food." Kaitlyn smiled as she passed him by and went to get some food herself.

"Cutie? I like that. But anyways, yeah, I'm a growing man, I need my daily protein." Justin said jokingly.

Kaityln took a seat right across from him and gave him a huge smile.

Justin had a smile that went from ear to ear. "You know what fancy? I had a lot of fun last night. Maybe we can do that again some time. Would you like to come to our concert after party? It's going to be the day after the Disney special."

Kaitlyn let her smile trinkle to a frown." Of course I would love to go. But getting back to spending time with you guys,I do to Justin but I'm not going to be around anymore soon. Actually, the concert is the day after tomorrow and after that my job is done."

"Your job is done? What do you mean Kait?" JC said as Joey, Lance, and Chris also came in behind him.

They all looked so concerned and glum about the whole situation.

"Well, it's true. I have no other job here after the concert and I'm going to go back to my regular old job at the park."

Joey stupidly thought,"well, were still going to be here in Orlando."

"Actually, I talked to Lou while I was helping JC out in the studio, and he said the tour's going to kick off three days after the Disney Special." Chris said. That pretty much did it for the rest of them. They were now all sad over everything.

They all ate as usual but they were oddly quiet. Kaitlyn felt like she had known these guys all her life. They had quickly found a place for themselves in her heart. It was quick yes, but just spending this kind of time with them made her days more worth while. Kaitlyn finished eating by 2:15 and decided to get over to Gregory's office early since she just couldn't stand all of the guys feeling and looking so glum.

"Now that Kaitlyn's gone you guys, i think we should talk." JC announced."I myself love having Kaitlyn around and spending time with her, but she's right. She won't be around much longer. This is probably going be the last time she's in the studio."

Justin curiuosly looked at him and questioned,"so what are we going to do about it?"

JC smiled and said,"that's the point I'm getting to J. Somehow we have to get Lou to hire Kaitlyn here at Transcon and make sure that it's a job she would be doing while she's on tour with us."

Joey once again asked stupidly,"yeah, but how do we do that?"

Chris smacked him on the back of the head and answered,"that's why JC's telling us this. So we all could work together to get Kaitlyn on tour with us."

"Exactly! The right words and Joey's great skill of persuasion, Lou won't know what hit him!" JC remarked.

"And Kaitlyn will be touring with us in no time!" Justin excitedly added.
