As Amber got into the car, she was greeted by a very hyper Justin, along with Joey and JC. “Hey Babe.” JC said with a grin. “And how are we doing today?” Justin said, doing some kind of impression. However, it was so bad she couldn’t tell who or what it was.
Joey hung back, and, as usual, was quiet. Amber couldn’t understand it. This guy was never able to say anything to or even around her. Right then, her cell phone beeped. “Hello?” she said. “Oh, hi Jesse. What are you calling me for? I told you I would talk to you later. It’s not late enough, though.” She rolled her eyes, and continued to talk to her friend.
Joey felt his heart sink. Amber was everything he had ever wanted in a girl, and she already had a boyfriend. It figured. Well, at least he’d found out before he had told her his true feelings. He would have been so humiliated if he had done that.
