The sunlight shone in on the dark room awakening the sleeping figure. She sat up and gazed at her surroundings realizing it was another day, another hardship. She crawled out of bed and got dressed for the day ahead of her.
Once she was dressed to comfort, she went downstairs to the living room and looked at the pictures around her. Pictures of happy, smiling people. One picture in particular caught Lisa's attention. A picture of her and her boyfriend at a party having fun. The picture brought back the memory.
**Flashback**
"C'mon we gotta take some pictures otherwise we'll all be too drunk to remember the fun we had!" Chris laughed holding up the camera.
"I don't want to..I'm not very photogenic." Joey laughed.
"Yeah, you better not since your ugly mug broke the last camera." Justin grinned and noticed the couple next to him making out,"Whoa, Lance getting busy!"
"Hey!" Lance said as they were interrupted,"Can't I get some love from my woman?"
"No. Not without some razzing from us." Chris laughed,"How 'bout you and your woman cheesin' it for the camera? It'd be a great thing to show your grandkids!"
"Lance..that does sound like fun. Let's just give it all for the camera." Lisa smiled, "Please? I'll make it worth your while."
"Take that offer man!" JC said.
"Alright...now say 'to the future.'" Chris said as the camera went off and snapped the photo.
"Definitely to the future." Lance said looking into Lisa's eyes.

Lisa smiled at that picture. That was a fun night they all had. She then got the weirdest feeling like someone was in the room with her. Looking around she realized she was alone. But really she wasn't. He stood in the corner of the room dressed in black. Watching her every move. He could never stop watching her. She got comfortable on the couch and sat in the quiet of the room. Holding a pillow on her lap she got lost in thought. He sat down beside her as well. Lisa noticed the framed picture of the Mexican sunset on the mantle. He saw what she was looking at and remembered that time as well. She started tearing up as she thought about everything and feeling like there was someone there.

He could see the tears welling up in her eyes. She could still see everything fresh in her mind. It broke his heart to see her so upset. With every second she felt more alone.

"Lisa, what shall we do today?" Lance asked her as they lounged on the couch.
"How about we just lock ourselves away forever and ever, and never be apart?" she smiled.
"That sounds great to me. But we might have to explain ourselves to our friends for disappearing forever." Lance said.
"As long as we have each other." she said.
"I know." he said,"And I have a surprise for you."
"Ohh..do tell." she said.
"Well close your eyes and be prepared..."he said and she placed her hands over her face.
"Hurry up I want to see what you're reaching for." she smiled.
"You're peeking!" he said.
"Ok...fine. They're really closed now."she said and he reached into his pocket and pulled out a box and opened it,"Ok..you can look."
"Ok..."she said removing her hands and seeing the ring,"Oh my god...Lance. It's gorgeous. It's....it's....wow..."
"Yeah..well you can have this ring, but there's a condition with it." he said.
"What kind of condition?" she said.
"Well..the condition is that I love you with all my heart, soul, and spirit. I want you for the rest of our lives. You are all that I want from now until forever." he said.
"Oh my god..."she choked,"But that's a condition?"
"Well, the other part is to fix me french toast as often as possible and to do dishes..." he laughed, "Will you marry me?"
"Oh my god...I can't believe this..."she stuttered,"Yes..yes I will."
"Does that include the french toast part too?" he asked putting the ring on her finger.
"Yes." she said and kissed him,"I love you so much."

The ring on her finger glared back at her in the silence. He noticed her staring at it and twirling it around. She still wore it with all her heart. He could tell she really was hurting.

Lisa suddenly looked at her ring again, and as she gazed, her attention came to the long scar on her arm running clear up to her neck. Looking at it brought back a terrible feeling.

"That was such a good night. Dinner with your parents and mine." Lisa smiled to him as they drove home.
"I know. I think they are so anxious about the wedding around the corner." he said,"Gosh this rain."
"Well the rain can't spoil anything for us. This is the perfect life." she said.
"I know. I can't wait to make you Mrs. Bass." he said.
"I can't wait to make you happy. Or make you a daddy sooner or later."she smiled.
"Hopefully sooner than later." he said,"Like how about some practice when we get home?"
"Ooh..why Lance. My sentiments exactly.."she said and kissed him and they started slipping a bit,"Oh my god. This weather.."
"I know. We're just a few minutes away from home." he said,"Our exit is a little bit up the road."
"Ok..." Lisa said and she relaxed and then they saw a car's lights glaring at them and they started sliding..."Lance!! Look Out!!!" and then blackness, later she awoke with a massive headache and couldn't move her body and she couldonly see twisted metal around her,"Lance??" she said and she moved her head a bit and saw him, laying beside her,"Lance?!! Lance?!!" she cried, "Please god..someone help..." she creid and then she blacked out again.

"I'm right here." he said knowing that it was a impossible task to help her. "It's so vivid in my mind." she cried.

"I just wish to see you so badly. So much it hurts inside." she cried.

Lisa still crying buried her face in her hands, as Lance wrapped his arms around her to comfort her. Just as she started feeling eased. Lance could feel something in his heart...he knew he had to comfort her.
"I am here." he said with a tear.
"What?" Lisa said raising her head,"Lance?" she whispered.
"Oh my god..Lisa." he said.
"Lance, are you here?" she said and she saw something materialize right before her eyes,"Oh my god...Lance."
"Lisa..you can see me?!" he said.
"Yes." she said,"Oh my god..I've been thinking about you so much. I really miss you."
"I miss you too. Its hurts me to be away from you." he said and he could acutally hold her.
"I am so lost without you." she cried into his shoulder,"It feels like I am alone."
"You aren't alone. I am always with you. I watch you everyday, I watch you sleep, I watch you go on. You never are alone." he said.
"Why can't I be with you?" she said.
"You are with me, in my heart." he said.
"But I mean where you are." she said.
"We will be together again. We'll dance in the moonlight, and we will have each other forever. I promise you that." he said.
"I don't know what I'll do." she said.
"You will know what to do. Then when that day comes, you will know where I am, because I will be there with you." he said,"And always know that I am loving you and guarding you where I am." and with that he faded away.
