'Doctors will steal your childs heart 'World Net Daily News
02/04/01

The Royal Children's Hospital has admitted removing children's hearts during autopsies without the proper notification of the parents.

They admit that their actions were "inappropriate"

It was discovered that approximately 1200 hearts were taken, dating back to the 1950's. Many parents were unaware that their sons and daughters were buried without their hearts and sometimes brains.

Despite all the appoligies from the hospital, Health Minister Michael Wooldridge said he would form a working party for a nationwide audit of organ and tissue retention and disposal pratices in hospitals and universities.

In Australia, there is no suggestion hospitals and universities have acted illegally. The federal Human Tissue Act 1982 stipulates that consent to an autopsy automatically implies consent to tissues - and therefore organs - being removed.

Six families are considering suing the Royal Children's Hospital for failure to tell them that their children's organs would be removed. If lodged, the suits would be mounted individually rather than in a class action.

In Georgia, other parts of the South, and perhaps California, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is planning to release hundreds of thousands of creatures, the larvae of which eat their victims' heads' innards -- making the heads fall off -- all in the name of "self-sustaining biocontrol." This was announced in November 2000 by Richard Brenner of the USDA, who heads up a Florida research team.

The predators are Pseudacteon flies from Brazil. These flies keep fire ants from foraging, thus

allowing native ants to reclaim their habitat. It is used successfully in Argentina and Brazil. Be assured that they are only attracted to only fire ants, flies, not human waste or similar byproducts.
