A Brief Intro
Anne Rice fans may enjoy this tale; then again they may be offended. Being a huge Anne Rice fan myself, I originally decided to do a crossover between NMBC and The Vampire Chronicles. That's orignally the way I started it off as well, and it really wasn't too bad. But then I got to thinking and I didn't want to rip off the genius of Mrs. Rice in such a way--my writing is crap compared to hers (she takes a couple of years to complete a book...I take a few months, at the max). Plus, I didn't like the way I was handling Lestat. His character didn't match with the guy I was writing for. So basically I just changed around a few of the character's personalities and renamed them. So if you notice a few similarities, Then now you know. Our main vampire hero, Levar, is based on Lestat (note the use of the French name, beginning with the letters 'L' and 'E'). His friends Tim and Danny are based on David Talbot and Louis, in repective order. Christine is based on Claudia, Michelle on Gabrielle, and Julian on Armand. Please note that I used Nicki's original name; I ran out of names to use. Anywho, if you haven't read the Vampire Chronicles then you have pretty much wasted your time reading this. In order to make up this time, go read the series NOW!!!! And just so you know, Lestat is my favourite character (In the words of Marius, he is 'the Brat Prince'....how true!!!).
