"Chartered for Progress, Two Centuries of American Banking, A Pictoral Essay" by Elvira and Vladimir Clain-Steffanelli, Curators at the Smithsonian Institution, published in 1975 by Acropolis Books. The 144 page hardbound book is internally in fine condition, clean pages, strong binding, nicely illustrated throughout. The book is covered in a blue plastic-like material, which has a 4 inch crack along the rear spine seam, which has been repaired with tape. Still a very nice reading copy. Available for $7.

"Hamilton's Blessing, The Extraordinary Life and Times of Our National Debt" by John Steele Gordon, published in 1997. The 214 page hardbound book is in very good condition, clean with no page tears or pen marks. It is an ex-library edition, with a library barcode sticker on the rear cover (covered by a Mylar cover), and a library name stamp on the page ends. There is no card pouch or other library markings, and it is quite nice. Available for $10.

"Standard Catalog of United States Paper Money" 12th edition, by Chester Krause and Robert Lemke, edited by Robert Wilhite, published in 1993. The 206 page hardbound book is in about fine condition, with clean pages and a strong binding. It is an ex-library copy, however, with the library stamp on the page ends marked over, and with a few tiny marks where a "Reference" sticker was removed from the rear end pages. A very clean copy which did not see much use before being withdrawn from the library. Available for $9.

"Money and Banking" by Frederick Bradford, New and Revised Edition, published in 1946 by Longmans, Green and Co. The 879 page hardbound book is in good+ condition. There are no page tears, and a strong binding. However, several passages are marked with red pen, and there is a circular stain on the front cover. Available for $6.

"Economic History of the American People" by Ernest Bogart and Donald Kemmerer, published in 1947. The 856 page hardbound book is in fine condition, clean with no page tears or pen marks, clean covers and a strong binding. Available for $10.

"Economic History of the United States" by Chester Whitney Wright, Second Edition, published in 1949 by McGraw-Hill. The 941 page hardbound book is in fine condition, clean with no page tears or pen marks, other than a previous owners bookplate inside the front cover. Blue cloth covers with gold lettering on the spine, very fresh. Strong binding. Available for $10.

MISCELLANEOUS BOOKS

"The World of Gold" by Timothy Green, published in 1970. The 254 page softbound book is in very good condition, clean with no page tears or pen marks, and a strong binding. The book covers "the history, the lure, and the power of man's most precious metal." Available for $4.

"Alexander Hamilton, An Essay on American Union" by Frederick Scott Oliver, published in 1912 by G.P. Putnam's Sons. The 502 page hardbound book is in very good condition, clean with no page tears or pen marks, and a strong binding. Includes a nice frontis portrait of Hamilton, and a foldout map of the American Colonies in the rear. A nice biography of our first Secretary of Treasury (among other things). Available for $15.

"Gulliver's Travels and Other Writings by Jonathan Swift" edited by Louis Landa, published in 1960. The 564 page softbound book is in good+ condition. there are some underlined and line-marked passages throughout the book, but otherwise nice, with a sturdy binding. Includes "The Drapier's First Letter to the Shopkeepers, Tradesmen, Farmers, and Common People of Ireland," concerning the brass halfpence coined by William Woods. Available for $5.

"Andrew Jackson" by Robert Remini, published in 1966. The 212 page paperback book is in very good condition, clean with no page tears or pen marks, and a strong binding. Doesn't look as though it has been read at all. Includes a 28 page chapter on Jackson's battle with the Second Bank of the United States. Available for $5.
