The Pool-Dog's World

Bon and the Rex at Carlisle, Spring 99
This CRX never left me stranded, and would've run forever (but that's out of my hands now!). I G-Tech'd it for 0-60 on 1/14/00, and got a 8.40 with a passenger and 3/4 tank of gas-pretty good for 168,000 miles, and only 92 HP stock.

The CRX is just about the most popular import car to modify for the dragstrip, autocross, the road race course, or your drive to work. At just over 2000 lbs, and having only 2 seats, a 16-valve 1.5 Liter 4 cyl. engine, and a race-proven 4 wheel double wishbone suspension, you'll be able to pick on cars that cost many times it price on any twisty road. It has been rated as one of the 10 best used performance cars under $10,000, and has an endless supply of aftermarket parts available for it from turbo kits, body kits, racing suspensions, or just about whatever you can imagine. I was going to use this car as a street/race car in the future, but things changed with the upcoming addition to my family. But I stayed "in the family" with the new Si, which is based off the same basic suspension set-up as the CRX. Next time you head to an autocross, check out how the CRX's are doing, and you'll see that they are definitely a force to be reckoned with, even when the competition averages 5-6 times the price I'm asking for mine! I really cannot say enough good things for a car such as this, that can offer great gas mileage, above average handling (even stock), good looks, room to haul a lot of goods (large and small), and great visibility from the driver's seat for city driving and parking. It's a little shoebox that can become a tiger for a very minimal investment! I'm sure that those of you who have had one already know what I'm talking about.

No more changes will be made due to the fact that I don't own the car anymore! It was fun while it lasted... sold with 169,900 miles on it for $2000 to someone with big plans for it-so there may still be more pictures to come in the future based on how things go for the new owner.... at least plan on possibly seeing my DTM's powdercoated white and installed on the Si if I get the money for new tires.
