"THE FIRE
ALARM"
A TRUE STORY
It was a cloudy afternoon. School had just
gotten out at West High. Lacy ( THATS ME!!), Kristen, and Krystal were roaming the halls,
trying to figure out something to do before play practice began. They were on the second
floor, by the large window next to Lacy's locker. On the walls around the large
window there were a bunch of papers and signs advertising various classes, parties, and
sports for the school. Also on the wall, near the door way to the stair, was a fire
alarm.
Lacy ( THATS ME!!), being the nice friend she is, always pointed
out fire alarms. Also being a clumsy one, Lacy would often trip and just "miss"
pulling the fire alarm.
But today, Lacy was being TOO good of a friend. She walked
over to the fire alarm and started telling Krystal and Kristen about it. "Yes, guys,
so remember, if there is a fire you pull this right here..."
Lacy wasn't even touching the pull thing on the alarm. She
started tapping on the top, saying " Man, I wonder what the inside of a fire alarm
looks like."
All of the sudden the doors to the stairway shut. Krystal started
to mention something about it when a light flashed.
EE EE EE EE EE EE EE
The fire alarm had gone off! It
seemed so fake to the girls.. so unreal. Lacy and Krystal thought for a moment that it
really wasn't happening. Kristen very calmly said" So, what do we do now?"
Immediately after that people started piling out of school. The
girls all started histerically laughing. Lacy was laughing so hard she was crying!!
What did they do? Well, Lacy ran to the office and as everyone
was leaving told them what happened so she didn't get in trouble. Fortunately, the
principal was very undestanding. He even laughed.
When everyone was going back inside when the whole scandal was
cleared up, Kyle, a friend of Krystal and Lacy's, who was also staying after school,
jokingly asked Lacy " So, you finally pulled it, eh?" Kyle had seen Lacy
"trip" many times and almost pull the fire alarm. What Kyle didn't know
what that Lacy did actually pull it.
SO
THEN THE POLICE SHOWED UP!
Lacy, Kristen, and Krystal then ran and hid in some
teachers room for that time.
This is an event that will stick in the girls' minds forever.
