The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a small sporting spaniel that appeared in paintings with Charles II. This is a completely natural breed measuring up to 13 inches at the shoulder and weighing up to 18 pounds. The Cavalier's coat is long and silky. Colours may be white with chestnut markings, all red, black and tan, or tricolour. Which ever coat it wears, the Cavalier King Charles is affectionate, intelligent, and an excellent pet for a family with small children.
