The Pekingese is a medium size toy with an extreme limit of 14 pounds. The coat is long with a thick undercoat. The hair is straight and flat, coarse, but soft. The mane is profuse and extends beyond the shoulder blades forming a ruff or frill around the neck. All colours are allowable.
