Handmade soap contains the natural glycerin that is a by-product of the soapmaking process. Commercial 'soapmakers' remove this glycerin and sell it to other businesses. Handmade soap does not strip your skin of it's natural oils the way detergent soap does. In fact, it draws moisture to your skin. Most people who use handmade soap cease to need moisturizers!
