SELECTION CRITERIA
Here are some of the musical factors which the judge will be looking for in a good song:
a clear CD recording--not necessarily professional--which could be used as a track on our compilation CD, unique syncopation, indispensable harmonies, expressive mood, clear message, imaginative lyrics and impressionable melodies--though not all of these need be present to win.
Since we are searching for originality
and creativity, any song in any genre or
language from any country is eligible. So far we have received several entries from Australia, Canada and Ireland and one entry in Spanish.
All entrants retain full rights to their
submissions and there are no contractual
arrangements other than a committment to
the contest only; any other followup
with the songs requires your permission through our Winner's Affidavit and Agreement.
