straight we think it's something to celebrate! Do you know how beautiful you really are? JASAC and
Straight Out Scribes present the first ever Sacramento
Locks Festival: In celebration of Our Natural Hair, Friday and Saturday, September 3 and 4, at the Sacramento Ballet Building, 1631 K Street
(corner of 17th & K)
Friday will kick-off the festival with a
reception and dance from 7-11 p.m. with music, food,
networking and fun for the whole family. Saturday,
the festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m and will
feature natural hair products, demonstrations of
natural styles, cornrows, twists, locks, and more plus
vendors, food, door prizes, musical selections,
poetry, presentations, demonstrations and a few
surprises are in store. The suggested donation for
the festival is $5 on Friday night and $10 on
Saturday. Children under 12 free.
