~That fades off and then we see Rage facing off against The Accelerator as ambulance sirens are heard in the background… then we hear the crowd cheering as the camera cuts to the inside of The Richmond Coliseum in Richmond Virginia. Joey Styles gets inside the middle of the ring and waits for the crowd to quiet down, when they do he speaks. ~
Joey: Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to The 2000 King of the Ring!!!!!!!!! *crowd cheers* Here to sing the United States National, Anthem.. please welcome…. KORN!!!!!! ~The spot light hits the side of the entrance way where the band has set up their equipment. Freak on a Leash plays as the band makes their way out and the fans cheer loudly. They get set and start to rock the house with their version of America the Beautiful… after 5 minutes of rocking the house they end and fireworks go off on the rafters and on the entrance way… The crowd gives them an standing ovation. KORN takes a bow and then leave the stage, the camera cuts to Miller, Mercer and Paco who are all decked out in Armoni tuxedoes. Mercer speaks…~ Miller: Well another Pay Per View is here folks and we are so glad that you are here with us… last year Stone Cold Steve Austin became the King of the Ring, well this year things are different, it’s a new era and a new fed so the King of the Ring will mark the rise of a new star or the re-birth of an old one. Along with me as always are Mr. Mercer and Mr. Drunk, err, Paco. How are you gentlemen? Mercer: Great Miller, you are right when you say a new star will rise or an old star might find how to shine once again. The 8 wrestlers in this tournament are so different yet so alike it’s so hard to pick a winner. Will it be one of the 3 veterans Dean, Hunter or Rocker? Or will it be the up and coming stars like Handy Man, Mike Hall, Steve Stryker, Punisher or Kid Ca$h? Paco: Well it’s definitely a wild card, and what about the World Title Match? An ambulance match!? That one I can’t wait for personally…. Miller: Yeah that promises to be a hell of a bout, Rage is the last member with the exception of Mobley that Ace has yet to defeat out of Fear Factor… This match will be great.. Mercer: Yeah but there is a lot of factors involved, like Ace not having a match in a while and Rage losing to Steve Stryker this past week.. Miller: Yeah but you have to realize that Punisher was involved in this match up.. Paco: Man, in any event, the match is one to watch but how about we get this thing started!!?? Miller: Sounds good to me, let’s take a look at the brackets before we go to Joey… Joey: Ladies and Gentlemen it’s time for the second round of the King of the Ring to get started!!! ~The crowd cheers, then “Hell’s Bells” by AC/DC plays and the crowd boos loudly. Steve Stryker heads to the ring.~ Joey: Introducing first, making his way down the ramp from Chicago, Illinois.. he weights in at 319 pounds and stands at 6’5” tall… here is STEVE STRYKER!!!!!!! ~The crowd boos him all the way to the ring, then once inside “Voodoo Child” by Jimmy Hendrix plays and the crowd cheers loudly as Dean comes out with Vince Carter….~ Joey: and his opponent being accompanied to the ring by Vince Carter from Fayetteville, Arkansas.. he weights in at 290 pounds and stands at 6’8” tall.. here is Hall of Fame member….. DEAN!!!!!!!!!! ~He talks with Vince on the outside and then they shake hands, Dean gets in the ring and comes face to face with Stryker…. The bell rings.~ Miller: Well this one it’s about to start gentlemen, they both seem focused, let’s pick, I think Dean has this one because of his experience… Mercer: Well I’m going to have to go with Stryker only because Dean isn’t the Dean of old. He is on a losing streak and I think the streak will continue here tonight.. Paco? Paco: I think you should both shut up and let everyone at home and me enjoy the match. ~Both men lock up and start the match, Dean quickly puts on a headlock on the big man but Stryker easily pushes him to the ropes. Dean bounces off and Stryker goes for a clothesline but misses, he turns around and Dean drops him with a standing side kick to the mouth! The crowd cheers, Dean sits Stryker up and puts on a headlock trying to wear Stryker out. Stryker has none of it though as he makes it to his feet and elbows Dean a couple of times in the stomach to break free. Stryker picks up Dean by the waist side and drops him with a side slam! Stryker goes for a quick pin but only gets one, Stryker picks up Dean and he puts on a headlock this time. ~ Miller: Well what do you gentlemen think of the match so far? Mercer: It’s good, you can tell much as it is just starting, both are evenly match up though.. Paco: *watching match while drinking beer, totally ignoring them.. * ~Dean tries to elbow Stryker to get out of the hold but it doesn’t work. Dean then wraps his arms around Stryker and drops him backwards with a side suplex! The crowd cheers again and Dean hops to his feet, he bounces himself off the ropes and drops a huge leg drop on Stryker. Dean goes for the pin, one! Two! and Stryker kicks out, Dean quickly pulls him up and whips him to the ropes, Stryker bounces off and Dean drops him with a clothesline.. ~ Miller: The pace of the match up is starting to pick up Mercer… Mercer: Yes it is, and I don’t think Paco likes us Miller…. Paco: Ding! Ding! Ding! What do we have for winner Johnny?? Miller & Mercer: Jerk…! ~Dean picks up Stryker and sets him on the corner, he gives him a few knife edge chops and then whips him to the opposite side, Stryker hits hard and Dean charges at him. Stryker puts up his boot though and Dean gets a mouth full, Stryker explodes out of the corner with a clothesline that almost decapitates Dean! The crowd boos but Stryker doesn’t bother with them, he bounces himself off the ropes and drops a big splash on Dean! Stryker hooks the leg, one! Two! kick out!! ~ Mercer: Woah! That was a close one mate!! Miller: 319 pounds came crashing down on Dean, his ribs got to be hurting big time!! ~Stryker picks up Dean and whips him to the ropes, Dean bounces off and Stryker catches him and puts on a bear hug!!! The ref immediately begins to check on Dean who is trying to fight off the hold. Stryker shakes Dean from left to right and applies more pressure and Dean is in big time pain. The ref sees Dean fading away and it’s about to start checking on the arm…~ Mercer: Well it could be all over for Dean! Stryker has those huge arms wrap tightly around his waist, I don’t think he’s letting go anytime soon. Miller: Well I don’t Dean think will give up, he might pass out from the pain but the man is not known for giving up!! Paco: Finally you make a good point, Dean is not a quitter... Mercer: It speaks!!! Paco: Kiss my ass… ~The ref grabs Dean’s arm and lifts it up, he lets go and it drops quickly. The ref picks it up again, holds it and then lets go and it drops for the second time. The crowd chants Dean’s name as the ref picks up the arm for the third and last time, he holds it up and then he let’s go. The arm drops about half way and then Dean brings it back up and starts to raise the roof. The fans cheer loudly as Dean tries to make a comeback. He begins to nail Stryker with right hands, Stryker loosens the hold but still hangs on. Dean bites him on the forehead and Stryker lets go…~ Mercer: Dean doing anything possible to stay on this match up!! Paco: I think he’s hungry, biting on the man like that! What’s wrong with him!! Miller: Dean has said many times before that he will win at all cost, this could be what he is talking about… ~Dean bounces himself off the ropes and Stryker hooks him again but this time drops him with a belly to belly suplex! The crowd gives a big “OH” after the power move, Stryker hooks the leg and the ref counts! One! Two! kick out!! The crowd cheers one more time as they see Dean fighting to stay alive. Stryker picks up Dean and gives him a kick to the gut, he hooks him between his legs and delivers his patented piledriver!!!~ Mercer: I sense the end for Dean! That’s Stryker’s set up move to his finisher!! Miller: If he hits it, it’s over for Dean and his place in the King of the Ring…. ~Stryker picks up Dean and takes him to the corner, he hooks him between his legs again and then taunts the crowd a bit. He goes to pick up Dean for the running Powerbomb but Dean back body drops him instead!! The crowd again cheers as Dean picks up Stryker, sets him on the corner and starts to pound on him with fists. Dean whips him to the opposite corner and Stryker hits hard and comes out stumbling. Dean jumps to the top rope, waits for Stryker to come close to him and then he dives off connecting with a missile drop kick!! ~ Mercer: Dean has turned the tables! Now he’s in control!! Miller: After all of the attacks by Stryker, Dean is still able to comeback! Paco: He is a warrior, Dean will fight you until you die, or he dies… ~ Dean goes for the pin and gets a two count. Dean picks up Stryker and whips him to the ropes, Stryker reverses it somehow and Dean bounces off. Stryker catches him off guard with a boot to the face that sends Dean back to the ropes. Stryker catches him on the rebound and drops him with a Powerslam!! The crowd is on their feet as Stryker goes for the pin! One! Two! Kick out!!!~ Miller: OH so close and yet so far!!!! Mercer: This match is going back and forth Miller, just like we would have expected it to be!! Paco: and just to think, this is only the first match! ~Stryker tells the crowd again the it’s over, he picks up Dean and whips him to the ropes, Dean bounces off and Stryker misses with the clothesline. Dean bounces off the other side and Stryker turns around Dean connects with a spear!! The crowd back to their feet and cheering loudly, Dean picks up Stryker, whips him to the ropes, Stryker comes back and Dean drops him with the Razorback!!!! More cheers from the crowd as Dean goes for the pin after hitting his finisher, one! Two! Three!!!!!!!!!!! Bell rings… ~ Joey: Here is your winner……………. DEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Miller: Well a hell of a match by this two giants by the veteran proves to be too much for the young Stryker… Mercer: Yeah, Stryker tried going for his finisher twice too early and he paid for it. Paco: He sure did. So who does Dean face next?? Miller: He’ll face the winner of this next bout, let’s go back to Joey! ~You see the cage being lowered from the rafters as Joey stands to the side of the ring. ~ Joey: Ladies and Gentlemen it's time for the second match of tonight's King of the Ring and now only is this one a Hell in a Cell match, but it's also for the Television title!!!!! ~More cheers from the crowd and they continue as "California Love" By 2pac plays and Mike Hall comes out with Jenna Jameson. ~ Joey: Introducing first the man being accompanied to the ring by Jenna Jameson from Victoria, British Columbia in Canada.... He weights in at 270 pounds and stands at 6'4" tall... here is Fear Factor member.... "SHOWTIME" MIKE HALL!!!!!!!!!!!! ~He gives Jenna a kiss and then gets inside the cage. Once he is in "Bring the Pain" By Method Man begins to play and the crowd begins to cheer loudly as he comes out by himself, no Scorpion in sight. ~ Joey: and his opponent, from Washington, DC. He weights in at 275 pounds and stands at 6'5" tall... here is 1/2 of the World Tag Hardcore champions and the current ICWF Television Champion.... Soul Assassins own... PUNISHER!!!!! ~He heads to the ring with the Television Title around his waist and the World Tag Hardcore Title over his shoulder. He gets in front of the cage and looks over at Jenna and waves, she waves back surprisingly and Punisher smiles. He gives his belts to the attendant at ringside and then gets inside the cage, the ref follows suit and locks the cage. Punisher slides inside the ring and comes face to face with Mike Hall, the bell rings and both men start to exchange blows!~ Miller: and this one it's on it's way gentlemen!! Paco: Much like Dean and Hunter and Rage and Handy Man, these two have a series of their own, but this one Punisher leads 4-0! Mercer: That's impressive, the others are 3-2 and 2-2 respectively. ~Mike Hall gets the upper hand in the blow match up and whips Punisher to the ropes, Punisher bounces off and Mike Hall misses with the clothesline as Punisher ducks, swings around and drops him with a DDT! Punisher quickly flips Hall over and the ref makes the count, only one. Punisher picks up Mike Hall, hooks the leg and drops him with a Kneebreaker. Punisher hangs on to his leg and puts on a figure four but Mike Hall was close to the ropes and Punisher is force to break it. Hall takes it to the outside. ~ Paco: Punisher is looking very sharp so far. I spent about 4 days with this man and I'm telling you guys, he works his ass off. Miller: and it shows... while Hall on the other hand, no one knows where he has been or anything. So it was very hard to talk about this match up, specially for Punisher. Mercer: Maybe there was a good reason why he has silent, trying to get away from it all and focus on Punisher, after all, the odds are against him. ~Punisher slides to the outside and goes after Hall, he turns him around but gets a thumb to the eye, Hall whips Punisher to the steel cage but Punisher reverses it and Mike Hall hits hard! Mike Hall stumbles back and Punisher drop kicks him on the back of the head sending him crashing into the cage again. Mike Hall down and Punisher goes for a pin, one! two! kick out. Punisher picks up Mike Hall but gets nailed with a low blow. Mike Hall hooks Punisher and drops him with the Showtime DDT out of nowhere!! Mike Hall goes for the pin quickly but Punisher is able to kick out after two. ~ Miller: Man! Mike Hall came out of nowhere with that move!! Mercer: He sure did, but that low blow help! Paco: The low blow always helps!! Hehehe, Ay los Huevos!!! ~Mike Hall picks up Punisher over his shoulders and holds him in a body slam position. He then takes a running start and slams Punisher against the steel post! Punisher goes down and Mike Hall quickly makes the cover, only two again. Mike Hall picks Punisher and whips him towards the steel cage, Punisher reverses it and whips him the other way and Mike Hall crashes into the steel steps! Punisher walks over and hooks the legs in a Boston Crab position, instead of putting the submission though he catapults Mike Hall into the steel post where Mike Hall hits head first!! "OH!!" is heard from the crowd!!~ Paco: He's busted open! Punisher draws first blood!!! Alright!! Miller: So you are a Punisher fan are you now?? Paco: No, I just love this hardcore, make him bleed stuff! It's great!! Mercer: Well Punisher obviously in attack mode, but Mike Hall in hanging in there... ~Punisher looks under the ring and takes out a table, the crowd cheers approving the move. He slides it in and then walks over to Mike Hall and picks him up, Mike Hall with a thumb to the eye that blinds Punisher momentarily. Mike Hall gives him a kick to the gut, he hooks him and delivers a suplex! Mike Hall picks up Punisher and tosses him inside the ring, he goes in himself and goes after the table. He sets it up and then picks up Punisher, he whips him to the ropes and Punisher bounces off. Mike Hall grabs him and drops him with a Powerslam! Mike Hall makes the cover, one! two! kick out. Mike Hall heads to the outside now and gets 1/2 of the steel steps, he slides them inside the ring as the crowd boos him. ~ Miller: Well Punisher had the idea for the table but Mike Hall is going to take it one notch higher. Mercer: He knows that it's going to take a lot for him to take out Punisher, I'm sure Punisher feels the same... Paco: All I care about is seeing someone going through a table! Woohoo!!! ~Mike Hall picks Punisher and sets him on the table, he climbs the steel steps and gets on the table too, He picks up Punisher and calls for the Grande Finale! He hooks Punisher but he someone how fights of Hall and nails him with a right hand! Mike Hall staggers and Punisher spears him off the table into the mat below! the crowd cheers loudly as Punisher hops to his feet and picks up Mike Hall. He whips him to the ropes, Mike Hall bounces off and Punisher drops Mike Hall with a Spinebuster!! ~ Paco: Damn it!! I wanted to see someone go through the table!! Miller: Well both men stood on top of it and it did not give, but don't worry Paco. Punisher might use it... Mercer: He's pointing to it right now!! ~Punisher grabs Mike Hall and walks up the two steps, he hooks Mike Hall between his legs and scoops him up! He hooks him up in a crucifix position and then drives him through the table with the Pain-bomb!! The crowd is on their feet as Punisher doesn't let go of Mike Hall's legs, he hooks them and applies the PainKiller!!! The crowd is cheering loudly as the ref checks on Mike Hall, the ref asks him if he gives up and after a few seconds Mike Hall taps... the bell rings... ~ Miller: Punisher got him after that one-two combo!!! Paco: He went through the table!! WOOOHOO!!! Again! again!! Mercer: The match is over dumbass!! Joey: Here is your winner.... and STILL... the ICWF Television champion and the man who will face Dean in the next round.... PUNISHER!!!!!!!!!!!!
