Britney's first public performance was at
a church when she was 4 yrs. old. She sang
"What Child Is This". But her first
professional performance was an audition for
MMC (Mickey Mouse Club) in Atlanta, Georgia
when she was 8 yrs. old. But she couldn't get
on because she was to young. But a producer
got her a agent in New York and for 3 summers
she went to the Broadway Dance Center and the
Professional Performing Arts School.
In '91, Britney was finally old
enough
to be on MMC. She was on in 1993 and the 1994
seasons. Also on the show was 12 yr. old
Justin Timberlake and Joshua Scott Chasez
(J.C.) from 'N Sync, Keri Russel from
Felicity, now up-and-coming singer Christina
Aguilera, and Ryan Gosling from Young
Hercules.
After the cancellation of MMC,
Britney
went back to a regular high school for one
year. After, she went back to New York to
start a singing career. When Jive records got
a hold of Britney's demo, they signed her to
their label and by 1998, Britney's first
album was complete.
