Ok...here's some "Millennium" news from the latest New Zealand BSB Fan Club Newsletter:
"Millennium" sees the return of writer/producer Max Martin ( "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)", "As Long As You Love Me," "Everybody(Backstreet's Back)") and Mutt Lange ( Shania Twain, Bryan Adams, Def Leppard ) as well as some songs written by the band members.
"Millennium" features all the ballads, dancey numbers and sweet harmonies that made the first two albums such smashes!
To support "Millennium", the Backstreet Boys will undertake a worldwide tour in Spring 1999 with New Zealand and Australia dates expected in early 2000 - we hope! They will also be on heaps of television shows as well as on the covers of countless music, lifestyle and teen publications.
Basically, "Millennium" will be an even bigger phenomenon than their first two albums!OCTOBER 26:PETITION
Well..I'm a bit confused as to what places actually HAVE the BSB Petition, but I CAN confirm that Marbecks on Queen St, Auckland City has it. I signed it when I bought the LTL single...which I luv. The new song, "If you knew what I knew" is really cool!!
Anywayz, I know that a lot of other places have this petition, so be on the lookout for it, I have heard that some places aren't displaying it properly..so ppl aren't aware it's there. Anywayz, I don't know if that's much help, but I'm trying to do anything and everything to let ppl know about this petition! If you join up to the NZ_BackstreetFans list ( link on main page ) you'll find out just how many dedicated fans there are trying to spread the word about the petition! Ok well that's all for now. See ya!
OCTOBER 19: IMPORTED BSB STUFF IN NEW ZEALAND & PETITION TO GET THE GUYS HERE!!!
My second update for today...Man I must be bored! *L*
Ok...Borders Books has finally opened at The Edge on Queen St ( Force Entertainment Centre/IMAX ), Auckland City. Why am I telling you this?? Well I went in a couple days ago, and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw imported BSB stuff!!! That's right....I was looking around in amazement at the HUGE music section of Borders....when out of the corner of my eye, I caught sight of a BSB cd I hadn't seen b4. It turned out to be a cd called Star Profile. It's an audio documentary cd with a 100 page full colour picture book! I bought this...and also the American "All I have to give" cd single!! They also had the American debut album "Backstreet Boys" and the Canadian version of the BSB's first album. I also saw in the music books section, a Backstreet Boys book that I haven't seen elsewhere in New Zealand! So I recommend checking out Borders if you get the opportunity!
ALSO....there is apparently a petition going around music stores in Auckland ( and in some other parts of NZ ) to get the Backstreet Boys to New Zealand. I'm not exactly sure which music stores have the petition....but have a lookout for the petition and sign it!!! They HAVE to come here!!! There is also an online petition you can sign here Please sign it...and tell everyone about it!
