France is a soulful Canadian who's got the disco bug. Something about her voice soars, and the music that was produced for her was among the most classic dancefloor gems released for Prelude Records in the early 80s. Couple that with the fact that her first album (featuring "Come to Me") was recorded when she was 16, and you have one of the most overlooked and underrated child music talents since Foster Sylvers.
France Joli may be white and, with that said, she ain't no Teena Marie, but whenever I hear her sing "Feel Like Dancin' " it just makes me feel like -- well, you know.
