In addition to directing the Flute Choir of Atlanta, Kathy Farmer is an active performer and instructor in the Atlanta area. She is principal flutist of the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Papageno Flute Quartet, Atlanta Flute Quartet and Montage Woodwind Quintet, and flute instructor at Georgia Perimeter College. Ms. Farmer toured France and Austria with the American Flute Orchestra and performs with the National Flute Choir in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is the founder and director of the Atlanta Flute Ensemble and recording secretary of the Atlanta Flute Club. Ms. Farmer is the National Flute Association Coordinator of Flute Choirs and was the Volunteer Manager for the 1999 NFA Convention.
