It all started on January 10, 1995 when the Big Dave Man and the King Of Matt's left the KWF and vowed never to return again. They set out to build a federation that would make the past ones look like nothing. They first decided that the new federation needed a new name. Many names were thrown around till Matt said SSW Super Star Wrestling. That was when the name and a logo was devolped for the new fed. The logo has been altered since 1995 to change with the times.
The federation was set to open for business on Wednesday January 11, 1995. It opened with two offfices. SSW Office #1 in Lakemont and SSW Office #2 in Holidaysburg Pa. King of Matt's and Big Dave Man were the Co. Presidents. Pat Pain was named the Vice President. One of the first desicions from the SSW was that if you held a belt in the KWF and you were now in the SSW. You are recongized as the SSW Champion. For example King Of Matt's was KWF Intercontential Champion well when we started SSW he was SSW Intercontential Champion.
With everything set to go the first ever SSW Match ever held was between The Big Dave Man and Pat Pain to determine the First ever SSW World Champion. Big Dave Man won that match. That match took place at the herald SSW Arena on January 15, 1995.
Then SSW WrestleMania I was schduled to take place on Feburary 10, 1995 at the old SSW Arena. With six matxhes including a carrer ending World Title Match pitting Big Dave Man vs. Venom. A Royal Rumble match and four other matches. The event was a major disappointment. The opening match was boring and long and really was not worth being on the card at all. The second match pitted Big Dave Man vs. United States Champion Doomsdamen. This match made up for the first match and was wild from the beganing. But then something went wrong and the show had to stop and we only managed to fit in the Royal Rumble but it was not taped for Video.
Basically the rest is history. We are still having events. As you proabably noticed our events got better and now we are were we are today. We are the Super Star Wrestling and we always will be.
