Alex sat in the chair and let the hair and make-up artists do their work. She wasn't sure what Nick had gotten her into, but he had promised that it would be fun. She had already been to wardrobe, and now she sat and watched as fixed her hair and make-up. The hairdresser loved her curly hair and played around with until he had the front of it pulled up on top of her head with curls hanging down her back. As soon as make-up was done she walked out of the trailer, someone told her she was needed on the set. She walked over to the set and watched as people scurried around trying to get everything else done. She heard someone yell action and heard the music to "Back To Your Heart" start, she wondered over to one of the other sets and saw Nick, he was mouthing his part of the song. Alex watched with fascination and then the director yelled cut. "WE NEED THE GIRL!" He yelled,
Alex didn't realize at first, that the girl was her. Someone nudged her and said, "That's you."
She walked onto the set as the director began to tell her what he wanted her to do. Alex listened and nodded. Nick stared at her, and Alex began to think something was wrong, but smiled when he leaned over and said, "You look gorgeous."
It didn't really help because now, she and Nick had to stage a fight. The director yelled action and Nick and Alex began to "fight" It lasted only a minute before the director yelled cut again. "That was terrific!" he said. He began babbling on about what he wanted them to do next, and yelled action.

Alex went back to wardrobe to get changed, it had been a long day and she was really tired. She and Nick had gotten all their scenes together done today, but there was still some work that had to be done tomorrow. Nick had asked her to come with him tomorrow as they finished all the stuff they had to do.

Alex walked out of the trailer and saw Nick waiting for her, "Well, I think you could be an actress, you got the look."
"Alex laughed, "I think you are dreaming. My life's baseball remember?"
"Oh that's right, superwomen! I'm picking you up tomorrow right?"
"If you want to, I don't have to."
"I'll pick you up then, c'mon it's late, I better get you home."
"Okay."

It had been about 2 weeks since the video shoot when Alex received a package in the mail, it was the final cut of the video. She watched it in complete awe. She couldn't believe that she was in the video, and that people were going to see this all over the world.

Alex had gotten phone calls all day long. The video had been premiered on MTV and it seemed that all her friends had just happened to see it. Jasmine was having a cow, and Jason was calling all his friends and telling them that "that chic" was his sister. "Hey Alex, Blake wants to know if he can marry you." Jason said walking into her room without knocking
"Tell him I'm sorry, but no can do."
"Okay." Jason said walking off
Alex rolled her eyes, this was so pathetic. She had already talked to Chad and he had told her that she looked gorgeous and asked if she would want to go out sometime as a joke. Alex didn't think it was funny. Alex was still in her room when her mom called her down for dinner.
"Well, I didn't know I would come home to such a famous daughter." Mr. Paine said as Alex walked into the kitchen.
"Your brother and sister have filled him in." Mrs. Paine added. Alex rolled her eyes and sat down at the table.
"I've decided that it's about time for our family to go on a vacation." Mr. Paine said as he sat down.
"Where to dad?" Jasmine asked
"I have a conference I have to attend in Tampa, and I thought you all could go with me and then we could have a vacation."
Mrs. Paine looked at her husband, "You didn't tell me about this."
"I wanted it to be a surprise."
the rest of the meal was spent talking about the up coming vacation. All Alex could think was that she would get to see Nick before he went on the European Tour, but that would mean meeting his family too.
