Alex laughed as Nick came up and shook his head. "Leave it to you Carter to ruin the moment."
Nick grinned, "Well, I'm not the only one that's comin in."
Alex scrambled away from the side of the boat, "I will go in under my own free will thank you very much!"
"Well, then get in!"
Alex smiled as she pealed off her shirt to reveal her swimsuit. She decided to leave her shorts on and jumped in. To her surprise the water was fairly warm.
"You know, I will never understand how you can always be prepared for everything!" Nick said laughing
"What can I say, it's a gift." She said splashed him
"HAHAH!! You've asked for it!" Nick said splashing her back.
Alex swam around the boat, and then climbed up in it. She looked around for Nick, she didn't see him. She looked over the other side, he wasn't there either. "Nick? Where are you?" There was no answer, Alex sat down on the back of the boat and was about to get in when something grabbed her and pulled her under. After a minute she managed to make her way up to the surface for air. She looked up to see Nick in the boat dripping wet smiling at her, "You jerk!! You about gave me a heart attack!!"
Nick only smiled, "Would you like some help back in the boat?"
Alex glared at him and pulled her up, "No thank you!"
"Suite yourself." Nick answered smiling. He sat down and leaned against the side of the boat. Alex sat down on the edge.
"We leave for the European Tour 2 weeks."
"I know."
"I have an idea."
"What would that be?"
"How about you come with us?"
Alex looked at him, "I don't think so."
"Why not?!?"
"I don't want to be gone my whole summer Nick."
"Well, then part of the tour. You could meet us for the last part."
"I dunno, I’d have to ask my parents anyway."
"Well, at least think about it. Aaron's opening for us so you could bring Jason. I'm sure Aaron would love to have someone his age to hang out with."
Alex looked at him a bit skeptical, "I'll ask, but I'm not making any promises."
"That's fine with me as long as you ask."
"Okay."
"We had better head back." Nick said starting the engine

Alex and Nick walked back up to the house, all looked peaceful, almost to peaceful. Then out of no where a water balloon hit Alex in the side of the head. "AH!"
Nick laughed, but then he was hit by one himself and his laughter died. They saw Jason and Aaron run across the yard and ran after them. Alex saw their stash next to the back door and grabbed several filled balloons. She gave one to Nick, and the war began.

They ran around for almost 20 minutes hitting each other with water balloons before Mrs. Carter called a stop to it. "Alex, would you guys like to stay for dinner?"
"Oh, no, we don't want to a an inconvenience."
"You won't be." Nick answered, "C'mon, stay."
Alex looked at Nick and then at Mrs. Carter, "Well, if it won't be any trouble."
"No trouble at all." Mrs. Carter answered, "I was already counting on it. Do you need to call your parents?"
"Oh yeah, I'd better."
"Hold on, I'll bring you the phone." Mrs. Carter said disappearing into the house.
She brought Alex the phone and she left a message for her parents, telling them where they were and to go out to dinner because they probably wouldn't be back until later.
