Alex was ready and waiting when Nick pulled up in her driveway. She didn't even give him a chance to get out before she was climbing into the truck. "Hey, what's the hurry?" Nick asked as he put the truck into reverse
"My mother is driving me crazy!" She answered slipping the sling off of her arm
"Should you..." Nick stopped as soon as Alex looked up at him. She had made it very clear in the past that she wasn't going to be told what was good for her.
"So, where are you taking me?" Alex asked trying to make the tension go away.
"It's a surprise, you will find out."
Alex nodded, "I'm being kidnapped."
Nick really didn't think it was funny but didn't say anything. 10 minutes later he pulled into a park. He climbed out and pulled a blanket and a big basket out of the back, "Well, are you gonna come or not?" he asked Alex would stood their watching him. He led the way over a hill where a huge pond lay in a valley. Alex looked around, it was the prettiest thing she had seen. Nick tromped down the hill and set the basket down and spread out the blanket. Alex ran down to join him, as he turned to ask her a question she kissed him, "You are so sweet." She whispered
Nick gave her a shy grin, "Well, I try." he said in a funny voice, "but I can't take credit for everything, A.J. gave me the idea."
Alex rolled her eyes and sat down on the blanket with him, "So, what did you pack to eat? I'm starved." Alex started going thru the basket, she found to PBJ's a sack of chips, a bag of cookies and 2 bottles of water.
She looked up at him, "What? I'm sorry, I was in a hurry."
Alex laughed and kissed him again, "You are still sweet."

and hour later they were still sitting on the hill laughing and talking about this and that, then it started to get serious when Nick said, "I can't believe I almost lost you."
Alex's smile faded, "You haven't ever come close to losing me Nick."
"Yes...."
"No." Alex cut in, "I'll always be in here, with all the memories." She said patting his heart.
Nick covered her hand with his, "I love you Alexis, and I don't ever want to lose you."
"I love you Nickolas and you will never lose me." he kissed her and didn't ever want to let go of her, but after a few minutes Alex needed oxygen and broke the kiss, "We better get back..."
Nick sighed, "Okay.."

Nick walked her up to the door, "I'll call ya when I get over to Brian's."
Alex laughed, "Why?"
"because the last thing I love to hear before I got o bed is your voice."
"Ahh...how sweet. Hey, you said you needed to ask me something, what was it?"
Nick looked down for a minute before saying, "Ahh, it was nothing, I don't even remember now. I do have another question though."
"And what would that be?"
"How much do ya love me?" he asked with a smirk.
Alex grinned and wrapped her arms around his neck, "An awful lot.." he kissed her and then went back to his truck, Alex smiled before going up to her room to wait for Nick to call. True to his word 20 minutes later he called, and the talked for hours before hanging up
