Nick pulled up next to the dorm building and put the truck in park, “I’m glad you came over, my family loves for you to be around.”
Alex laughed, “They are just being nice because they know I’m insane.”
“Well….” Nick grinned
“AHHH!!” Alex yelped hitting him.
“Hey!” Nick yelled grabbing her wrists and pulling her closer. Alex giggled as Nick tried to kiss her, “Would you mind?” He asked acting frustrated
“What? I’m not doing anything!” Alex whined
“You are giggling while I am trying to kiss my girlfriend.”
“Oh, well, please excuse me for the bother.” She grinned at him as he leaned in to kiss her. The kiss was short and sweet, and left Alex laughing.
“What?” Nick asked
“Nothing, I just love you, that’s all.”
“I think that deserves another kiss.” Nick said leaning over to kiss her again. Nick sighed and leaned his head against Alex’s, “Lex.”
“Yeah?”
“I missed you so much, I missed being with you.”
The smile on Alex’s face faded, “I missed you more.”
“No you didn’t!”
“Oh yes I did!”

“Yes I di…” Nick silenced her with a kiss, “No, you didn’t.”
“Even?” Alex asked with a smirk
“Even.” Nick said, “Do you want to go out of town this weekend?”
“What? Where?”
“Maybe something like the MTV Music Awards?” Nick said grinning at her, “I need a date, you wouldn’t be available by any chance would you?”
Alex shrieked and hugged him. “So, does this mean you’ll go?” Nick asked
“YES, OF COURSE!” Alex shrieked at him
“Okay, our plane leaves Friday Night, and we can come back Sunday night.”
“Wonderful!”
“Okay, I’ll see you around.”
Alex looked at him, “What’s that suppose to mean?”
“Well, my girlfriend now lives in the same town, I may have to take her out to lunch or just stop by to say hi.”
“Well, not to much, remember my lovely “roomy” who just so happens to be in love with you, that could make it kind of interesting.”
Nick laughed, “Ah yes, Amy. Well, we can get around that I’m sure.”
Alex smiled, “Well, I better be getting back to answer all the many questions she has yet to ask.” With that she sighed and climbed out of the truck. She walked around to the driver’s side and Nick grinned at her, “Love ya Paine.”
“Love ya Carter.”
Nick drove off and Alex sighed, looking up at her dorm window she sighed again and made her way up to her room. As she suspected Amy was waiting with a pile of questions as soon as she walked thru the door.
“Where have you been?”
Alex looked at her, thinking it was really known of her business, but answered, “Out.”
“Out? Out with Nick?” Amy asked crossing her arms
“Sorta.”
“What’s that suppose to mean?”
“His mom invited me over. Our families are friends.”
“Oh.”
“How did you meet?”
“Who? Nick and I?”
“Yeah, who else would I be talking about?”
“We met thru a friend.” Alex asked rolling her eyes.
“Where?”
Alex tried to keep her cool, “In Orlando.”
“Have you been to a concert?”
“Yes.” Alex answered thru gritted teeth
“He didn’t happen to say when he was taking me out did he?”
Alex took a deep breath, “I don’t think so.”
“Well, maybe he’ll call.” Amy said looking at her poster-covered wall.
“Maybe.” Alex mumbled. She knew one thing, things were always going to be interesting with Amy around, but how interesting, she didn’t know.
