B.J. hit the button to open the gates for the girls and turned to Alex; “Mrs. Turner is dropping them off, so, if we need to go anywhere is it okay if we use your car?”
“Um, sure, that’s no problem for me.”
“Okay, come on, we’ll go ask.” B.J. and Alex went outside where a blue mini-van pulled up. The door opened and 4 girls practically spilled out. In a fit of laughter B.J. tried to make introductions. “Alex this is Rachel, Tracy, Joey, and Manda. Guys, this is Alex”
Rachel, a short girl with curly red hair and green eyes said, “Hi.”
“Hi Alex.” Tracy said tucking her blond hair behind her ear
Joey and Manda were identical both had big hazel eyes and long, Alex guessed they were twins as they both chorused, “Hi.”
Alex smiled, “Hi.”
A middle age lady got out of the driver’s seat, “Hi B.J., is your mother here?”
“Um no Mrs. Turner, my parents went out for the evening. I can have her call you tomorrow.”
“Oh no that’s okay.” Mrs. Turner replied
Mrs. Turner told the girls to have fun and left. Alex and B.J. helped the other girls get all their stuff in the house. “So, what are we going to do?” Tracy asked dropping her stuff in the living room.
“Well, the pizza should be here in a minute, and then we can do whatever.”
All of a sudden someone yelled and then they heard Aaron screaming. B.J. and Alex looked at each other and ran to the back door. The found Aaron standing on the trampoline yelling at Nick who was rolling on the ground. “What happened?” B.J. asked running out the back door
“We were jumping onto the trampoline from the roof, and Nick missed.”
B.J. started chewing them both out while Alex walked over to Nick who was laying on his back, “Are you okay?”
“Nick groaned, “I don’t know.”
“That was a pretty stupid thing to do.”
“I figured that out when I hit the ground.” Nick moaned
Alex helped him up, he shook his head and gave her a grin, “Thanks.”
Alex rolled her eyes, “I think, without me, you would have already killed yourself.”
Nick kept grinning, “I think you are right, and that’s why I’m marrying you.” He whispered
Alex jabbed him in the ribs with her elbow, “Oh, what was that for?”
“Oh, sorry, reflex.”
“Pizza’s here!” Rachel called from inside
B.J. gave one more look to her brothers and walked back inside, the rest of them followed. While B.J. paid for the pizza Nick and Alex took the boxes and headed back into the kitchen and were mobbed by 5 hungry people.
Nick and Aaron had taken their pizza upstairs and the girls sat around the table giggling and enjoying some girl chat. They asked Alex where she went to school, and then the Tracy asked the question that B.J. and Alex weren’t sure how to answer, “So, how did you and B.J. meet?”
Alex looked at B.J. and B.J. looked at Alex, “Um, well, I…” Alex looked at B.J. for help, “Alex, is Nick’s girlfriend.” B.J. said bluntly
Rachel, and Manda squealed, “He is so cute. How did you guys meet?”
Alex smiled as the 4 girls waited intently for an answer, “Well, my friend Christy took me to their concert in Orlando, and I met Nick pack stage. Then I ran into him at the grocery store and he asked me out, and the rest is history.” Alex said grinning
“How sweet, but you will never guess what I did.”, Tracy said smiling, “I “loved” Nick and I had his poster’s plastered all over my wall. Well, I became really good friends with B.J. and never put two and two together. I would talk about him all the time and was always playing their music. B.J. never said anything. So, she invites me over one night and low and behold her brother is “the” Nick Carter. Well, I absolutely embarrassed myself, but B.J. has still kept me around."”
They all laughed at Tracy, and Rachel told them about the first time she met had Nick. Alex, sensing that B.J.’s night was starting to revolve around Nick changed the subject, “So, how about you guys’ love lives? Anything interesting?” They immediately started talking about Tracy’s boyfriend, who was captain of the football team, and Manda’s Boyfriend, who was President of the Senior class. Alex got up to get another piece of pizza when Nick came tromping back in. “Hey.” He whispered in her ear. Alex smiled. Nick grabbed some pizza, gave Alex a quick kiss and went back upstairs. The girls gave an “AHHHHH.” and Alex laughed.
“Has B.J. told you about Chad?” Rachel asked
Alex looked at B.J. “Chad, hmm, who is Chad?”
B.J. blushed, “Nobody.”
“Oh yeah, right.” Tracy said over a mouth full of pizza she swallowed and then filled Alex in. “Chad is on the football team, major babe, and he has a little crush on B.J., who just so happens to like him back.”
“Ahh, I see.” Alex said grinning at B.J. who was turning pink.
“You know guys, I think its time to clean up and go watch a movie or something.” B.J. said trying to cover her embarrassment. They all laughed, and then helped clean up their mess. They went in to watch a movie and discovered that Nick had mot gotten “Ten Things I Hate About You.”
“We can’t have a slumber party without that movie.” Joey complained
“Well, let’s go get it.” Tracy said
The fun, had just begun.
