Alex smiled, she had been having the best dream, but now she couldn’t remember what it was about. Her eyes slowly opened not really comprehending her environment. She smiled and closed her eyes before she realized someone was lying next to her, not just laying next to her, but holding her. Her eyes flew open and she looked up to find Nick asleep, and his arms wrapped around her. She smiled, his hair was messed up, and he had drooled on the pillow. The remaining scent of his after-shave from the night before dizzied her senses and she smiled as she closed her eyes wiggling closer to him. Nick shifted and pulled her closer; Alex giggled and snuggled into his side falling back to sleep.
Alex smiled as she opened her eyes, but Nick wasn’t there, maybe she had just been dreaming. She stretched and looked over where she thought Nick had been lying. There was an indention in the pillow where he HAD been laying. Nick walked out of the bathroom from where he had been taking a shower. He pulled a T-shirt over his jeans before he realized she was awake. She smiled at him, “Morning.” He sat down on the edge of the bed and smiled at her, “What?” she asked pushing the hair out of her face. He kept grinning and leaned over her and shook his head. Alex shrieked as the cold water hit her, “Hey!” She grabbed his hair and pulled his head back.
“Ouch, oh, oh, that hurts!” Nick wined
“Ah poor Nicky.” Alex said in a baby voice. She got up on her knees but didn’t let her grip loosen. “Let go.” Nick wined
“Say you are sorry.”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, please let go.” Alex let go and Nick rubbed his head, “Do you plan to kiss it and make it all better?”
Alex looked thoughtful for a minute and then leaned over and kissed the side of his head, “Okay.”
“Well, while you are at it, my cheek hurts.”
“Your cheek?” Nick nodded. Alex smiled and kissed his cheek
“And I have a sore on the side of my mouth.” Alex gave him a doubtful look, “I do!” She leaned over and kissed him on the side of the mouth. Nick wrapped his arms around her and kissed her back. Alex squealed as he pulled her close and Nick just laughed
Alex finally pulled away, “I think your mouth will be okay.” She said backing away
“I think I need another kiss” Nick said getting up to chase her
“No you don’t Nickolas Carter, you stay right there!” She said backing further away.
“Come here Alex.”
“No Nick, you stay.”
“You come here.”
“No, you stay!”
Nick lunged for her but Alex shirked and ran across the bed. Alex ran across the room and opened the door only to collide with Brian, “BRIAN, HELP!” She ran around him, “Nick, you stay!”
Nick laughed, “Excuse me Brian.” He said trying to reach around him
Brian laughed, “What are you two doing?”
Alex pointed at Nick, “He’s harassing me!”
Nick gave her an astonished look, “Me?” he turned to Brian, “Can I not help it that I love my girlfriend?”
Brian laughed, “I don’t want to get in the middle of this.” He moved out of the way and Alex squealed again. She ran past Nick and tried to shut the door behind her, but Nick was too fast. Alex ran and got a pillow off the bed as Nick came closer beaned him in the head.
“Owww…” Nick said holding his head.
Alex waited a minute before dropping the pillow, “Oh Nick, I’m sorry. I didn’t…” before she could finish Nick grabbed her around the waist.
“Gotcha!” He yelled triumphantly.
Alex got mad and tried to struggle free, “Let me go!” She struggled for a minute longer before Nick let her go. She stomped into the bathroom and slammed the door, locking it right after. She crossed her arms and smiled as she heard Nick standing outside the door.
“Lex, I was just playing with you.” She didn’t say anything, “Lexi, I’m sorry.” Alex looked in the mirror and worked up a few tears. She smiled and then tried to work up a straight face. She opened the door and tried to walk past Nick. He was about to say something when he caught sight a the tears, “Lexi, I didn’t mean too….I’m sorry, please, I didn’t mean anything, I was just playing with you.” Alex’s back was to him, and she couldn’t keep a straight face. Nick ran his hand thru his hair, “Lex…”
She turned around, “Gotcha!”
Nick looked at her for a minute before crossing his arms, “That wasn’t funny. I thought…never mind. That wasn’t nice.”
“Nick, if you don’t play fair, I won’t either.”
“Fine,” he waited a minute, “My head still hurts..”
“NO!” Alex said almost to fast
Nick looked hurt, “Fine, don’t act like it’s so revolting.”
“Ahh, Nick.” Alex walked over and kissed him
Nick laughed, “I knew it would work.”
“Hey!” Alex said hitting him in he arm
Nick started chase her again but then remembered, “Brian! I wonder what he needed.” He walked over to the phone and dialed his room, “Hey B, what did ya need?” Alex placed her hands on her hips and gave Nick a look, he smiled “Uhuh, uhuh, okay, see ya man.” Nick hung up, “I’ll be right back.” With that he walked out and left Alex standing in the middle of the room looking rather irritated.
