Alex only stared at the door for a minute before getting into the shower. ‘He is such a dip.’ She thought as she climbed in underneath the warm water. She smiled to herself when she remembered the sight she had wakened too, now that, she could wake up to for the rest of her life. She began planning what she would do with her hair and make-up that night when she realized something. That night she would be among some of the greatest names in music and entertainment in general. She would be in the mist of all kinds of people she watched and admired, people who were in a totally different realm then she was in the world. The thought made her stop and think for a minute, what was she going to do? Would she fit in, or be a total misfit? Questions like this were swimming in her mind as she got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around herself. Just then the bathroom door burst open, “ALEX!”
Alex screamed and clutched the towel, “NICK, GET OUT!”
“Oh, sorry.” Nick said shutting the door.
Alex glared at the door and then realized she hadn’t brought her cloths into the bathroom. She wrapped the towel a little tighter and walked out of the bathroom. Nick was planted in front of the TV with his Sega Dreamcast. Alex walked over to her suitcase and took out a pair of jeans and a Mini-T , and walked back into the bathroom. She came out only a few minutes later and Nick had not moved from the possession he had been in before, “Hey, I got a new game.”
Alex rolled her eyes, “Oh that’s just what you need.” She was brushing her hair out when she stopped, “Is that what you ran out of here after?”
“Yeah, Brian and A.J. were down the street at a game store and B saw it. He knew I didn’t have it so he came to tell me. I just went down to get it.”
“Well, obviously it’s very interesting because you didn’t notice me just walk thru here with nothing on.”
“Yeah.” Nick said absent-mindedly. He continued the game until Alex’s words sunk in. His head snapped up, “WHAT?”
Alex just smiled, “Sorry you missed it.”
Nick looked at Alex and then at the game and then back at Alex, “Oh man!”

Nick had been gone with the guys for dress rehearsal for about an hour. Alex was flipping thru a magazine when she heard a knock on the door. She went to answer it and found that it was Kristen, “Hey Lex, I can call you that can’t I? I mean Nick called you that the other night and I thought it was cute.”
Alex just smiled, “Um, yeah.”
“Sorry, I get nervous when these things are going on.”
“I know what you mean.”
“Anyway, I just came to ask if you knew what you wanted to do with your hair and make-up?”
“Um actually, no. I have no idea what I want to do.”
“Well, if you are open to ideas I brought my stuff.” Kristen said holding up a huge make-up bag.
“You’ve been to these things, I haven’t.”
Kristen smiled, “Okay, we have 3 hours, let’s get started.”
Alex laughed, “You need 3 hours?”
“Well, an hour for hair, an hour for make-up and an hour in case of an emergency.”
Alex shrugged, “Okay.”
Kristen laid her bag down on the bed and spread it out. Alex had never seen so many brushes and make-up colors in her life. “Now, I think we should go kind of dark look because of the black.”
Alex nodded, “Sounds fine with me.”
“Okay, go wash your face with this soap and then put this moisturizer on.” Kristen said handing her 2 different bottles.
Alex walked into the bathroom and did as Kristen instructed. Alex wasn’t sure what she was getting into, but if she could look like Kristen for one night, she was sure she could fit in.
