Nick got into the driver’s seat, but didn’t start the car, “How did you manage to buy a house?”
Alex didn’t say anything for several minutes, “Well, you paid for part of it. Tuition didn’t cover quite all of it.”
“Tuition? You spent next years tuition on our house?”
“Well, actually, the next three years.”
“WHAT? Alex you can’t do that.”
“Well, I already did.”
Nick looked out the window and gritted his teeth. How could she do something like that.
“Do you want to go see it?”
Nick didn’t say anything, first she tells him that she was getting a roommate and that it was Colby and now she tells him she bought a house with her college tuition money for the next 3 years. He didn’t know what to say, or what to do, “Where is it?”
“It’s not far from your parents house actually. It’s just about a mile and a half away, and you can even see the ocean from the backyard.”
Nick nodded and started the engine, “Tell me where to turn.”
“Okay.”
5 minutes later Nick turned off the engine and looked up at the two-story house that sat before him. He got out and followed Alex up to the front door where she unlocked it and switched on the light. Nick looked around at the huge room, “This is the living room and come look at the kitchen, it’s huge.” He followed her into the kitchen, she was right it was huge. He continued to look around the first floor and then went to the second. It had 5 bedrooms and one large room and then he went into the master bedroom. It was gigantic and the bathroom was huge. Alex walked in and watched him look around, “So, what do you think?”
“I think it’s huge.” He said turning to face her.
She smiled, “Does that mean you like it?”
“Yes, I can say I like it.” Alex grinned at him as he came over and looped his arms around her, “Now, about Colby.”
Alex groaned and tried to get away but Nick wouldn’t let go, “Really if it’s a big deal we can just forget about it. It would only be for a little while. I mean the whole reason I suggested it was because he wanted it after I moved out, and I needed help with the rent.”
“Well, Lex, I’ve learned that you are the one person I can trust without doubt. If you want to room with Colby, I will just have to deal with it. After all, I get you for the next 70 years.”
Alex laughed, “That’s only if I don’t kill you first.”

As they walked up to Alex’s apartment she noticed the door was ajar and there was a note on the door. She took it and started to read it, “Colby probably came over and forgot to…” She trailed off and started to turn white.
“What’s wrong?” Nick asked
She handed the note to Nick, “It’s from him. The stalker knows where I live.”
