Dex Sounds

Naked
Here is my new band Subject to Change. This recording turned out pretty well.

Three Nights a Week
Here is Modern Silence. This recording occured at Ear Candy Studios in 2003.

Toy Bell
This is a demo Modern Silence never mastered. It was too weird.

The Star-Spangled Banner
Here I am at 14, playing Jimi Hendrix's "Star-Spangled Banner."

Rufus Likes Cheese
The last and only interview with Rufus the dog. I was around 11 or 12 at the time. At first you might be like "who's that girl?" but that's just me, before puberty.

She was dressed in a small pink shirt when I found her, lying on the side of this very sofa at the party. For those who love to disagree, the embrasion on her bussum left no other impression than that the girl had gotten around tonight. I slapped some water on her, kissed her on the lips (she woke up screaming "take me away"). She explained that she was not sleeping, but merely in a state of braindancing. She staggered to come up with a better term, but like most sick Americans, the girl hadn't done her homework, and couldn't specify her illness and/or disorder. She was outraged. She exclaimed that this "illness/disorder" was the most undeniably wonderful type of spending everyday life. She slowly remembered the term used. "LUCID DREAMING" she screamed, the type of ear strain that coerces you to cry for jesus. To have lucid dreams is to be conscious of being in a dream state, even to be capable of directing the action while still in a dream, she carried on. "I've been capable of doing this since I was the mistreated step child held under my father's right arm; trying to wheap or even sigh. Against every will, I taught myself how to perform this lucid dreaming in order to truly escape reality. Slowly I learned. Through the years now I've done everything that you can do, including talking and shagging with anyone you feel that takes your fancy. The only thing I haven't done is tried to kill myself. That's somewhat shady. You probably wouldn't wake up, and what could your death certificate read? Just when I began to imagine the scenarios I would transcribe if I knew how to identify with her, I made myself wake up .
