WYNN'S PEERESS
(Field's "Ch. King" x Wynn's "Empress")
The accompanying illustration of Wynn's "Peeress" is from one of the earliest Mastiff photographs ever published. Whelped in 1871, "Peeress" is shown here at 15 months of age, weighing 112 lbs. Her coat color was fawn with a white face and neck. "Peeress" won first prize at Birmingham in 1872, a major show.
