In addition to our Spring Court of Honor we will be have an Eagle Scout Ceremony for Alex Kennan and Chris Morgan. Additionally, we will present information on Summer Camp and allow parents to ask question they may have. Information will be sent home with scouts signed up for summer camp in the next few weeks. The Scoutmaster and any of the adult leadership will be glad to answer any question that you may have prior to the meeting on May 22nd.
Over the past two months the scouts of our troop have been working very hard on fund-raising. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the scouts and parents of Troop 515 for this effort. Thanks to there car washing efforts the scouts earned $486 dollars which can be used for summer camp fees. Wal-Mart matched these funds so that the scouts now have at total of $972 dollars to use for activity fees.
In addition, the troop Bar-B-Que dinner was extremely successful. The troop's profit from the dinner was $766. Cole Saunders was our leading salesperson with a total of 33 tickets sold. We served approximately 160 dinners and 100 hotdogs and hamburgers.
We added the money we earned to other money that had been donated and bought a new 10 canoe trailer and 4 new canoes. These will serve the troop well into the future and allow the troop to plan more and better trips. We are currently planing another dinner for November to add to our fleet of canoes. Once again, I would like to thank all those that participated.
