EDELE'S LIVING HER DREAM!

Edele Lynch, the 21 year-old lead singer of B*Witched, has taken time out from their very first UK tour to talk to us at Reach For The Sky about her life as a mega popstar.

Edele herself will be the first to admit to being ambitious and with a famous brother Shane in Boyzone, twin sister Keavy alongside her in B*Witched and their little sister, Naomi debuting with her group Buffalo G on the girls' own tour, it seems to be a trait that runs in the family.

"I always wanted to be a performer and had so many people tell me that I was silly but I just ignored them and was more determined," Edele told us.

"My parents have definately helped me the most in my career. They're really influential and have always been behind our decision. They always support us and come to see us loads!"

Spending a lot of time away from home, especially when on tour is something all the girls find difficult. "Being away from family and friends," is according to Edele, the worst thing about her job. On the other hand the best is being able to "live a dream and perform on stage."

It has taken a lot of hard work, talent and determination to get to where they are now. The music business "is very competitive because there are new bands and artists coming together every day. But we never feel particularly in competition with anybody, we're in it for ourselves."

They have really managed to let their creative talents take over on their recent tour. Credited with the stage concept and design, the girls begin their exhaustive set clinging to a gigantic rigging suspended right across the stage. They even performed part of the opening number hanging upside down! Their former No.1 'Blame it on the Weatherman' followed featuring a torrential downpour, golfing umbrellas and wellies!

Becoming a popstar is the dream of a lifetime for many but only a few lucky ones make it so "be sure you you really want it because it is good fun but it's also really hard work."

All the girls have had other jobs before B*Witched, with Keavy's time as a trainee mechanic probably the most well-known. Sinead spent time working in cinemas and theatres, Lindsay was a shop assistant and Edele's first job out of school was in a sports shop.

"I would probably be teaching dancing if I weren't in B*Witched," Edele says confidently. "We believe fate brought us together and if we weren't together now we would have met up in some other way."
