WISHING ON A STAR

If you swing on a star you can see forever, or so the saying goes. B*WITCHED try their luck…

#Can you see your life mapped out in front of you?

Sinead: I can’t see it – but I believe my destiny is planned. I don’t know whether it’s true when people say “It’s fate that we met”, but I think it’s destiny which keeps people together.

Lindsay: Yeah, everything happens for a reason. Why else would Sinead’s car have broken down beside Keavy’s dad’s garage?

Edele: How else would we have found our management to help us? If something is meant for you, you’ll have it…

Keavy: And if you look back one day you’ll see that yes, everything does happen for a reason. It’s fate!

#Do you see yourself getting married?

Edele: Hopefully, maybe when I’m 24 or 25. I’m only 18, but if I met someone now I would get married. I’d like to have three or four kids, and I like the name Wednesday… but if I call a girl that she might not like me!

Lindsay: I wanna get married in my late twenties and have three kids, a dog and a cat. I think if I have a girl I might call her Christine cos both my grandmothers were called Christine.

Sinead: Urgh! I’m waiting till I’m 30! God knows who it’ll be though – the next person who drops out the sky! I’d love to have children, but then I think of the pain! I can’t even go to the dentist!

Keavy: I want to get married fairly young then have about five kids! There are loads of Lynches and we’ve done alright!

#What does your dream home look like?

Sinead: My dream home is in Ireland, near the sea, simple and classy. I want a leather couch!

Keavy: me too, but mine will be purple! It’ll be lovely!

Lindsay: I want somewhere cosy and normal, but with big rounds. I want a modern house, with a nice white kitchen.

Edele: There would be a pond at the front and stepping stones to reach the door. It would have four bedrooms and the living room would be decorated in silver, white, red and black. Oh yes, and I want a pet tiger in the back garden!

#Whose life would you like a nosey into?

Sinead: before the band I would have said someone famous – but that wouldn’t interest me much now. I’d like to see what Mother Teresa’s life was like. I’d like to know what it’s like to live as a nun or as a missionary.

Edele: I wanna know what my sister in America is doing! I wanna see her in her job as a computer engineer, and what it’s like for her walking around Boston.

Lindsay: I would have liked a nosey into my ancestors’ lives – maybe my great grandmother. I’d love to find out more about my background.

Keavy: Mmm, yeah. I wanna know more about my family. I’d follow my mum and dad’s lives, from when they me ‘til now!

#So where would you go on holiday?

Keavy: Anywhere with sun, sea and sand. I would relax and sunbathe, water-ski, eat loads of shellfish and I’d have my family and friends with me.

Edele: My ideal holiday would be one a deserted island. I like the quiet!

Lindsay: I’d go to Greece for two days, then I’d go to Mauritius cos I’ve heard it’s beautiful, then I’d go to Alaska for a few days, and end up in the Caribbean.

Sinead: you’d be exhausted – but I agree with the Caribbean bit or maybe Niagra Falls. It’ll be nice to be able to afford a real holiday!

#Who would you spend your ideal day indoors with?

Edele: Well, apart from my mam and dad I’d make it…maybe Shania Twain. I could go round for tea and we could write something together!

Keavy: My best friends Peggy Ann…I miss her.

Lindsay: I’d like to go back to my Great-auntie Cher’s house. We’d eat ham, cheese, cake and ice cream then we’d chat with her little budgie flying around our heads!

Sinead: Well, I’d pick Scott Wolf from ‘Party Of Five’ – and we’re not inviting anyone else round! He’s a babe!

#If you could see your photo album of the future, which page would you look at most often?

Sinead: Some photos of my school friends cos they’re hilarious…and the band and all the good times we’re having.

Edele: A wedding picture – but a big group shot, with my mummy and daddy and brother and sisters in…

Lindsay: Yeah, you have to have your wedding photos cos it’s such a big day…if someone ever wants to marry me, that is!

Keavy: And I’d put little pictures of my babies in there too! I admit the page will be quite busy!

#Can you see a day when you’re truly happy?

Edele: I’ truly happy already. Honestly!

Keavy: But we want all our family to live closer together…it gives us such a boost.

Lindsay: Yeah, cos you can’t be completely happy unless you know your mum and dad are OK too. And my cat…and the person out there who I don’t know yet but will one day fall in love with me!

Sinead: (Going all philosophical.) Hmm. At the end of the day you to make yourself happy. Otherwise you’ll be too dependent on other people. You have to balance what you want. Right now my career is great but my personal life could be better.

#Which future world event would you like a glimpse of?

Lindsay: I don’t know about the future, but I would have loved to have experienced the big party at the end of the second world war…if there was something like that.

Keavy: (Getting all excited.) I wanna…I wanna…I wanna go to the moon in a little spaceship so I’m looking forward to the day you don’t have to be an astronaut to go!

Edele: …And when they make those little spaceship cars to et to work in…or the hovercraft skateboard Michael J Fox had in Back To The Future!

Sinead: Well, I wanna see The End Of The World! I’d be petrified, but I’d want to be there!

#Finally, make the most of your swinging position. It’s time to Wish Upon Your Star!

Edele: I’d like…I just wish that my life goes the way I want it. There are loads of things I’d like to achieve. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to follow them through!

Sinead: I’d wish for health and happiness…

Lindsay: Yeah, and for all our friends and family to have that too, cos otherwise you won’t be satisfied.

Keavy: And no fighting in the world and…very small feet!
