Featured Site Tati's Art Gallery
Rarely do online galleries capture the
elegance and sophistication of a real world
gallery, but
Tati's Art Gallery has done
exactly that. It is exquisitely designed in
both form and function. It is very easy to
navagate and presents the artists work in a
simple, clear and unique manner. You can view
the art in clickable thumbnail galleries
that enlarge for more detail viewing, or you
can walk through the amazing virtual gallery
and view the art like you would in a real
world gallery. This is the future of online
galleries and you can see it now.
This site went live in March 1999 and in a
standard month brings about 2600 visitors,
but traffic has been as high as 36,000 in one
month.
The site is sponsored by AXOXS,Inc. which is
a software development company focusing on
eBusiness solutions. They also host Intershop
sites. The Art designer and webmaster is
William King. He designed Tati's Art Gallery
using MetaCreation's Ray Dream Studio and
Live Picture's Reality Studio to build the
virtual galleries. He was also responsible
for the text, describing the artists' work.
William has a doctorate in art history.
They used Intershop because they have a back
office gateway to the Platinum accounting
system which they designed to interface with
Intershop 3. With this combination they have
very good statistical and financial reporting
capabilities.
Tati's Gallery contains 125 wonderful pieces
of art by Tatjana Canedy and Khairi
Harzallah.
TATJANA CANEDY is a native of Munich,
Germany, one of the great artistic
cities of Europe, and the birthplace of the
German Expressionist movement. Her paintings
show the influence of German Expressionism,
especially the works of August Macke.
They also reflect her love of
tropical Mediterranean settings, and her
early affection for the novels of British and
American writers of the 1930's and
1940's.
Tatjana, now, residing in Southern
California and lives immersed in the warm
exotic landscape that she has always loved. A
hard-working and prolific artist, she is
enjoying her full-time devotion to
painting. "Eastern light" copyrighted by Khairi Harzallah May not be reproduced in any form Without written permission
KHAIRI HARZALLAH is a native of the West
Bank, now living in Amman, Jordan. His
paintings are influenced by the rich cultural
heritage of his country, as well as by its
dramatic landscapes and the quality of light.
For Khairi, Art is a powerful, interactive
relationship between the Artist, the
painting, and the natural world. It is a way
to "communicate with the galaxy".
In addition to the paintings which
the gallery has on display, Khairi is a
sculptor, who has designed a number of
monuments, including the Muata Battle
Memorial, a commission approved by King
Hussein and Queen Noor. As an artist, he
feels strongly his connection with the
natural world, and is active in conservation
and environmental groups in Jordan.
Tati's Gallery is looking for Artists with a
strong sense of color and the ability to
communicate unique personal vision of the
world through their work. The gallery is run
on a commission basis.
The submission process is as follows.
Tati's Gallery is also willing to exchange
