Featured Site
"Elizabeth M. Guenthner, Artist" Her website “Elizabeth M. Guenthner, Artist”, at http://www.lizonline.com went online in 1999 and was created by her Manager, Michelle Reeves. The website is presently showing between 130-140 of her pieces online. The site presents her work clearly in an easy to view manner, showing both thumbnails and larger versions of each artwork. Simple in design, the website is easy to navigate (with a great site map) and provides good information about the artist and her work. Elizabeth’s art is unique and intriguing. She displays work in several mediums, acrylic, oils, watercolors, ink, intaglio, engraving, charcoal, colored pencil, graphite, mixed media and photography. The website also makes it easy for Art lovers to purchase her work by accepting credit cards. Some pages (because of the amount of images) are slow downloading and there appears to be no interesting links to other art sites. But over all I would recommend visiting Lizonline.com just to see Elizabeth M. Guenthner wonderful art. If you are in the Austin Texas area, you can see her art in person at the following times and locations. Elizabeth M. Guenthner: Other artists in school, mostly. S.C.M.: Who are your favorite Artists? E.M.G.: Dali, Magritte, and all musicians. S.C.M.: What are your thoughts on showing art on the Internet? E.M.G.: I think it's a great way to get your art out there...the more viewers, the better, regardless of praise or criticism. S.C.M.: What are your favorite Art websites? E.M.G.: The Official Magritte Site, Salvidor Dali Art Gallery and Art Cars. S.C.M.: Is there anything you would like to add? E.M.G.: Art, this thought-to-be-finished-piece-of-work, is neither fixed nor finite, but an ongoing process of self. Knowing the artist is the first step in knowing his or her art. Here is where I stop and You (the audience) begin. |
