David Gail (Joe, Port Charles)

What makes you laugh? "I appreciate very dry humor. And I love the nuances in peoples' vocabulary that are [indicative] of specific areas of the country. Like in Pittsburgh, they'll use some little phrase that is totally unheard of where I'm from. Once I cracked up in a room full of people in Vancouver, British Columbia [Canada], when I used the phrase, 'Are you out of your mind?' They had never heard that!"
Do you have a prized possession? "My family. My dad is out here in LA. with me. He moved here about six months ago. My mother and my sister are back in Florida. Mom's an elementary school teacher and my sister is a nurse."
What would people be surprised to know about you? "I like country music. Merle Haggard is No. 1. I also like Waylon Jennings and Dwight Yoakam. I have eclectic tastes in music, and I play a little guitar. My dad plays and sings country music, and I got back into it when he moved here."
What's your facorite outdoor activity? "Pick one;I like them all. I like to try new things and push myself a bit. Hiking is a great way to spend the day. I also enjoy camping, fishing and I play some soccer. You name it."
