BRITNEY SPEARS SINKS HER 'N SYNC BEAU

  • Teen sensation Britney Spears dropped her 'N Sync boyfriend Justin Timberlake from her new video - and is about to sing "Bye Bye Bye" to him in real life, say sources. The bubble-gum vixen, 19,is getting gun-shy as her boy band frontman pressures her to tie the knot, sources reveal.
  • Justin, 20,who says he is saving himself for marriage, is ready to get hitched. But Britney, who also claims to be a chaste virgin, wants to wait. She says she's having too much fun to settle down, insiders tell STAR.
  • "Brit won't make the commitment. She has told Justin that she doesn't want to mess up a good thing by getting married," a pal reveals. Even the pop queen's mom, Lynne Spears, is pushing for the marriage. "She likes the fact that Justin is a born-again Christian and she knows that Britney's not getting into trouble when they're together," says a pal. But despite mom's support, the two have been fighting a lot and seem further apart than ever, friends confide. Justin was hurt when he found out that Spears shunned him as her love interest in her hot new video, Don't Let Me Be the Last To Know, in favor of Parisian hunk Bryce Durand, pals say.
  • "Justin was all set to fly out and start filming, but Britney had her assistant call him to say the producers had chosen someone else for the part," says a friend. "Then he discovered it wasn't the producers' decision. It was Britney's! She even admitted to him that French guys 'trip her trigger!'"
  • Adding insult to injury, pals say Justin next discovered Britney was on vacation in Miami's hot South Beach district with a select few friends - including Bryce - and didn't even tell him. Meanwhile, Justin was even in the same state, recording in his Orlando, Fla., studio. To woo back his love, Justin commissioned a one-of-a-kind diamond ring - but insiders say Britney wouldn't accept it because "things didn't feel right."
  • The insider says: "Justin's in a lot of pain right now. Britney acts like she doesn't care and has been dropping hints that she's not happy with the relationship." Pals say Justin's romance with Britney began to show signs of strain last year when rumors of the golden girl's underage drinking and partying reached Justin. To make matters worse, reports last year claimed she was spotted at L.A.'s Sunset Room having a steamy makeout session with Ben Affleck.
  • "Right now, Justin's stuck finishing up the next 'N Sync album, but he's finding it hard to concentrate on his work," says a source. "He constantly thinks about Britney and who she's with." But despite friends' advice to drop her, Justin says he loves Britney and won't give up. Says a pal: "He believes that their relationship is meant to be."

    GET THAT 'N SYNCING FEELING

  • That scratching sound you hear is millions of teenage girls circling June 26 on their calendars. That's when the king of the boy bands 'N Sync releases its fourth album, aptly titled "Celebrity." A rep for the band reports "Celebrity" will feature a mix of musical styles ranging from electronica and R&B, with some country thrown in for Korn. Whoops, make that corn-pone.
  • If that's not bad enough, we hear Justin wanted to name the album "Cele-Britney" but Joey and J.C. quickly put the kibosh on that idea.
  • Speaking of kiboshes, Chris kirkpatrick (the old man of the band at a ripe 29) doesn't seem all that optimistic about how long 'N Sync will last. "I see the vocal groups going away. They've been hot a little too long. I see real bands that really play instruments being the hot new thing," Chris confessed to the New York Post recently. "I'm not saying that 'N Sync is washed up," he added quickly. "We actually do know how to play instruments."
  • One member who will be washing up is Joey Fatone, since the "phat-one" will be a father any day. Joey and his girlfriend Kelly Baldwin are expecting a baby girl, who they plan to call Brianna.
  • According to insiders, Kelly and Joey plan to make Brianna's life a heaven on earth, and will deck out the little angel's room in a "sun, moon and star" motif. But it might be Fatone who sees stars once Kelly gets wind of the fact he was spotted in a lip-lock with Minnie "Good Will Hunting" Driver at Toronto nightclub Fluid, according to Canada's National Post.

    BACKSTAB BOY

  • Backstreet Boy Nick Carter isn't all that pleased with his baby brother Aaron Carter. Sure, the earnest 13-year-old is quick to say that without his big brother's help he might still be riding skateboards and hanging out at the malls.
  • "Without Nick, I don't think I could have made it where I am right now," he told TV Guide recently. But when asked who his favorite pop band is, the little traitor gave his bro' the cold shoulder. "If I had to choose between Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync," Aaron confessed. "I'd pick 'N Sync. They're awesome." Yeah, just ask Minnie Driver.

    Joey *might* be a father soon. Sarah's *N Sync-loving friends saw it on Inside Edition. I.E. talked to Joey, so I'm pretty sure it's not a rumor, but you never know...

    'NSYNC Announce Full Itinerary For Stadium Tour (From mtv.com)

  • After teasing fans for weeks by revealing only a few tour dates at a time, 'NSYNC finally announced the complete itinerary for their first-ever full stadium tour. Kicking off the tour with a previously announced show on May 12 at Miami's Pro Player Stadium, the boy band will play 39 shows in 36 cities, including two dates each in Hershey, Pennsylvania; Foxboro, Massachusetts; and East Rutherford, New Jersey. Also, 'NSYNC will induct Michael Jackson into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 19, in a ceremony that will be televised on VH1 on March 21, according to Jive Records. (MTV.com's parent company, Viacom, also owns VH1.)The group will release their fourth album in June.

    Justin & Britney are dating. If you don't know this by now, where the HELL have you been?

    The next *N Sync CD is due sometime this June. After the whole NSA thing, we now realize this means that it will really be released in December.

    Lance Bass, a member of boy band 'NSYNC, is lining up a second career in the film industry. Bass has hooked up with a former executive at Tom Hanks' production company to make 'soundtrack-driven feature vehicles for pop stars, athletes and musicians'. The project will be known as 'A Happy Place', and its first film will be On The Line, starring Bass and fellow 'NSyncer Joey Fatone. The film is expected to cost £10 million to make, with production beginning in March. Miramax films are negotiating with A Happy Place over distribution rights. On The Line tells the story of a couple who meet briefly on their city's train system and must then find a way to reunite.

  • Two-fifths of pop quintet 'N Sync plan to appear in a movie called On the Line, according to Foxnews. Singer Lance Bass has signed a deal with independent movie powerhouse Miramax to create the film with his new production company, Happy Place Entertainment. Bass will star in the Chicago-based romance, and group mate Joey Fatone also has an unspecified role. The deal was made at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

    Justin is in a law suit for assulting a fan. Apparently, at a Meet*N Greet, a fan had been getting restless because Justin had been late. When he finally arrived, the fan yelled "I don't care, JC's hotter anyway!" Aledgely, Justin verbally threatened the fan, who's suing him for verbal assult & emotional distress. Justin, if you're gonna get sue for assult, at least pull a weapon on the victim? I know if Justin Timberlake was standing over me waving his finger, I'd crap my pants. (It's called sarcasim kids...) Have you learned nothing from Puffy & Em? Use a weapon. It'll help the cause.

    Apparently, Justin & Britney are going out & Justin cheated on her. She got back @ him by going out with Robbie Williams (singer of "Millenium" & "Angels"). When Justin found out, he was FURIOUS & he got in a fight with Robbie @ a party....Love triangles...Oh, what tangled webs we weave. [P.S. This is just a rumor.]
