5 years after Kevin moves to Orlando

Carrie:

As I flipped through the channels, I saw my face plastered all over the television screen. “Britain's Favourite Son, David Beckham, To Wed,” the headlines blared. David wandered over to the couch and enveloped my body with his arms.

“The press is certainly quite interested in our affairs wouldn’t you say, Mrs. Beckham?” David asked, perplexed at the public’s fascination with our relationship.

“Definitely. Do you think we’ll live up to their expectations?” I wondered with doubt. After I finished my undergraduate studies at Stanford, I decided not to pursue a doctor's career. Instead, I moved back to England, and settled in Manchester, where I did research for a medical company. I met David Beckham, the soccer star, at a Manchester United game. The rest, as they say, is history.

“What expectations? I’m the only one with expectations. You know, wedding night and stuff…” David proceeded, arching his eyebrows. I playfully swatted him on the head and we continued to fine tune our wedding plans.
Kevin:

As Kat fled from my hotel room, I groaned in frustration. Kat was only the most recent girl to crack under the pressures of being a “Backstreet Girlfriend.” I turned on the television and saw a familiar face all over the screen. “Soccer star David Beckham to wed Carrie Kensington, a medical researcher...” the news anchor announced. After hearing the details of the wedding, I pondered about the relationship that Carrie and I could have had 5 years ago. My trip down memory lane inspired me to write a song. Quickly, I got out a pen and wrote fervidly into the wee hours of morning.
