Glitter is a 2000 palomino filly, bred by Barry Shepherd, by 9 times sire ratings winner Springbourne Caraway . She is the only full sister (to date)to the 2002 HOYS Finalist Vervale Gabbana and Royal Welsh Reserve Youngstock Champion Vervale Galileo.

Like her older 'cousin' Vervale Rara Glitter wintered with us as a yearling and then as two year old. Instead of being returned home as a three year old I was given the wonderful opportunity to lease her to breed a foal from. Although it had been mentioned before I didn't really think it would ever happen so I was a bit suprised when the offer was made, and very nearly said no(perhaps in hindsight I should have stuck with this thought) but I didn;t I said yes so she remained with us for the summer.

Things, however, didn't go to plan and Glitter decided she didn't think much of her chosen 'husband'. She failed to come into season all summer but since she was running with the stallion with ever a glimmer of hope that we had missed it, she was pregnancy tested. The results came back negative so with heavy hearts she was returned home, a lost opportunity and one I will probably never get to repeat as she was leased to another stud a few days after returning home.
