Jack is a Welsh Section D Gelding, foaled in 1999 & bred by Pam & Nobby Shepherd. Shown as a yearling his Prizes include First and Reserve Champion at Midland welsh Pony and Cob Association, First at Three Shires In-Hand Show, second at the National Welsh performance Show and 4th at Northleach.

Line bred to Hendy Brenin and with all time greats such as Brenin Gwalia, Cippyn Red Flyer & Nebo Black Magic in his pedigree he is defiantly bred in the purple. His Dam is a full sister to the successful stallion Watling Tywysog and his Grand Sire, Geraint Brynawelon a brother to Brenin Brynawelon who sired a dynasty at Thorneyside stud.
Jack is my first Section D and we hope he will follow in his half siblings's footsteps (Watling Samswn & Watling Serena) and become a successful performance cob. He is certainly bred for the job with the likes of Olympia Qualifier, Wandsdyke Busby in his pedigree.
Jack has now been broken in and continues to be 100% genuine. A real gentle giant. A huge THANK YOU to Nobby for letting me buy him and to Rebecca Jarvis for her help in breaking him in.

UPDATE 11/10/03- Due to the in-hand ponies taking up all of what little spare time I have I'm delighted to say Jack has gone on loan to Hazel Richards who will be showing him.

UPDATE 05/04 - What a superstar team Hazel and Jack have become. Jack has fulfilled all the hopes and dreams I had for his future when we bought his as a just 2yo and its with thanks to Nobby for breeding him, Rebecca for building such a solid foundation and a HUGE Thank you to Hazel has worked so hard with such skill and dedication to turn our raw baby into a superstar. Having won under Saddle on the flat and in Working Hunter and still being a wonderful gentle 'person' every rosette is a bonus. The only problem now is I don't think Jack will ever be allowed to return home!

09/04 - He's Back! Ending his season as a champion M&M working hunter pony Jack has now returned home. Our sincere thanks to Hazel for everthing she has done with Jack and wishing you all the best with Piper.

02/2005 - Jack has been sold to Sandra from Bristol and already he is bringing home the red ribbons.

As always I will keep the News page up to date with his progress.
