- There's an Italian site called TrovaCinema which has a page about Killing Me Softly with pictures, movie trailer in Real format and audio/video interviews with Heather Graham. In the interview, she mentions Joe when she's talking about the erotic scenes. She says they were both nervous but with Joe's sense of humour, it was great.

- Update on "Blind Flight" (here said to be yet untitled):
4/2002 EmpireFormer reports on the film had said that "A film based on Brian Keenan's book An Evil Cradling has been delayed. Joseph Fiennes is to star as Keenan in Blind Flight. But the British production has been postponed in the wake of the US terror attacks. The movie industry has been shying away from sensitive subjects since the attacks. Producer Sally Hibbin told The Observer: "We had hoped to start shooting at the beginning of next year. "Then September 11 came along and the world didn't want to talk about this film. "So we're not going into production in January as originally planned." Keenan wrote An Evil Cradling about the four years he spent in captivity in Beirut with John McCarthy. Blind Flight is scheduled to be filmed in Ireland and the Middle East."
Straight from the Hart
Star teams up with Fiennes for hostage dramaIan Hart's done the blockbuster thing - and found it wanting. So his next project is a little more down to earth, he'll join Joseph Fiennes to play Beirut hostages John McCarthy and Brian Keenan in a project co-written by Keenan himself. "I've met Brian a few times," says Hart exclusively. "The fact that he's sanctioned it means you've almost honour-bound to do the job. I don't want to disgrace him, it's going to be quite a hard little gig, but it's something I need. Harry Potter wasn't that you know?" Say no more, Mr. Hart. The as-yet-untitled film could go before the cameras in May.
- There are reports that Brad Pitt is doing the voice of Sinbad in the Dreamworks animated movie instead of Russell Crowe due to Crowe having too many commitments to finish the project. No word on Joe so we guess he is still doing the voice of Proteus in that one. :)

- We are happy to announce the top three winners of our first NOJ contest.
They are: Luciana, Elisabeth and Charles.
However, we would like to reward everyone who participated (including Steph, Clemence, Michelle and Katerina). Because we offered a choice of prizes we would appreciate it if you would contact us with your requests (especially Charles and Michelle as I lost your email addys) and we will begin distributing your reward. Don't forget to send us your addresses!
A special mention goes to Beate's boyfriend Mark P who told us he simply had to win - though he never actually made a contribution to this contest. ;) But he has helped us greatly by providing other things like a copy of the Judi Dench Bafta Tribute and the Celebrity Bedtime Stories and the Telegraph Bafta issue, so we want to thank him from the bottom of our heart. :)

- A jolly good tennis player:
Clubbable
Daily Telegraph, March 8, 2002
By Charlie MethvenJoseph Fiennes is joining the tennis set. The smouldering Shakespeare in Love heart-throb has just applied for membership of the Queens club in West Kensington. Although there is currently a two-year waiting list for full membership of the club, Fiennes's proposer - society medic Dr John Gaynor - should see to it that his application is processed swiftly. "Johnny holds quite a lot of sway at Queens," I'm told. "He's the Stella Artois tournament's official doctor and also sits on the committee." The club is just a few miles from the £1.2 million home that Fiennes bought in Notting Hill last summer. News of his sporting interests shouldn't occasion any surprise: he was photographed recently playing a singles match against his make-up artist girlfriend, Fiona Jolly. "Joseph is a jolly athletic young man," comments his agent breezily.
