So you want a cleric eh? Respectable choice. Life as a cleric is typically not too difficult, and most clerics are very respected by citizens. With good stat placement and good training, you'll succeed.

Stats

The prime stats for clerics are logic and wisdom. For the clerical profession, i strongly recommend dwarves, if you plan to be mostly a rezzer halflings, and humans. Now, you'll want to place discipline highest and aura the next. After that you'll want a good wisdom, for high mana and good CS and TD, and a good strength because it rises slowly unless you're giantman. Next you'll want to place reflexes for an ok DS, since you can spell up later that's all ya need, then intelligence, and then logic since it is a prime stat and thus grows quickly. After that go with dexterity, then constitution, then charisma since they're all basically useless for clerics. That's all on stat placement.

Training

Ok, right away double the cleric spell list, then on your first training double the major spiritual, then on the next the minor spiritual. this way you'll have 6 spells at second training and you'll be able to cast them all. after that, just stick with the cleric and minor spirit list until you get wall of force, then switch from minor to major and keep hitting the cleric and major every level for life. Single the weapon of your choice right away, along with shield use, and physical training. Now I reccommend doubling mana share because you need 102 mana share to resurrect, and it helps when people want you to spell them up. Never resurrect without 102 share, because you risk a spirit death, which means you and your target die and decay, lose around 6k exp, and lose 3-5 deeds. You'll also lose more once the target comes back to get you. Now, after that, single perception, and single either climbing or swimming. Single armor if you can, if you cannot save the rest of your points for the next training, and then single it. Once you get all the armor you want, try getting some combat maneuvers. That's all on training.

Hunting Tactics

Hunting with clerics is very simple. Spell yourself up before you go, and then use bind once you can, then swing your weapon. Many clerics rely on their weapon and spells so that they can be strong fighters. Many elder clerics are more potent warriors than actual warriors. That's pretty much all for hunting tactics.
