So you want a warrior eh? Prepare yourself for quite a run at life. The warrior's life starts off very easy and ends up rather difficult. Just be ready. i know many warriors who wish they had chosen a different life, but I know many who are very happy as well, just train correctly and you'll be fine.

Stats
Before I get in to stats, I would just like to mention that these guides are written for warriors who want to succeed, not for people who enjoy rping such as halfling warriors. The exact race of a warrior, however, I believe should be a personal choice, But I reccommend half-elves, humans, and giantmen.
Ok, Warriors' two prime stats are Strength and Constitution. Warriors are strong, and physically well-made, however tend to lack in the mental areas. Remember that as you make your warrior, and remember: STATS RISE. Don't place the stats so that you have an easy early life, because an easy elder life is better for you, trust me.

For a warrior, you want to remember that strength and constitution are going to rise very quickly. I reccommend putting consitution as your lowest stat (it doesn't do much anyways) and strength next lowest (just trust me, it will rise.) Now, Aura should definitely be your highest, then discipline, then wisdom, then I would reccommend either intelligence or dexterity. Put reflexes as your fifth highest. Place the rest of the stats as you wish, according to what they do and what you want. That formula is only my advice, don't think that those are the only stats that can make a strong warrior, most importantly, make sure YOU'LL enjoy being your warrior.

Training
Ok, right away double armor, double shields, double the weapons of your choice, I reccommend one handed edged for your main weapon, double combat maneuvers, and single physical training. Now single perception, and single either climbing or swimming (then single the other one on your next training, and continue to alternate for life. Redux..) Now I would definitely reccommend trying to single ambushing, and single (double if you have the points) brawling. If you have anything left I would put it in first aid. If you don't have enough for first aid save them and get it next time. You'll want to be able to stop bleeding out in the field. As you get older you definitely want to branch out into other weapon areas. i would recommend moving into blunt first, then two-handed, then either pole-arms or ranged. Get some multi-opponent combat eventually two, as i think they're going to implement a new combat system soon and that this will be the key to fighting more than on critter at a time. Do NOT get spells, they will ruin your dfredux. Mana sharing is a VERY good idea however, I strongly reccommend getting as much of this as possible as early as possible. Believe me you'll need wizards' help later on. That's about all I have to say about training, just remember to be a WARRIOR you have to be good at fighting.

Hunting Tactics
The majority of warriors i've seen stay out in the open when they hunt. This is fine, but if you're going to do this, wear the best armor your money and round time can afford, and try to train in ambushing as much as possible. The key to hunting straight out in the open is to be able to aim your attacks. It really helps later on to be able to sever a creature's leg and have it on the ground rather than having it stand toe to toe with you. Also once you have it knocked down you can rip it's head right off, and that's the end of that. Also shield use is very important for these warriors, you need as much AS AND DS as possible. Also try to get enchanted items to help you out.

Now if you're going for the assassin type of warrior, have a good time, I've never been successful but I know some who have. I would strongly reccommend training in hiding, but not over combat maneuvers or edged weapons. Armor maybe, because if you're going to ambush from hiding you won't want to wear very heavy armor. Make sure you can ambush well, and hit hard, and you'll be fine.

Role Playing
There are many ways to roleplay a warrior. The only thing I do suggest you do not try is an antimagic warrior, the kind that hates all mages. You will wish you hadn't hated them later on when you can't hunt because you don't have the DS and that wizard whom you scorned early in your lives won't help you out. I know some guys who have been there, you won't enjoy it. I like people who roleplay knights, and assassin-warriors impress me occasionally. Don't go for the magical-destroyer, it won't work out too well for ya, if that's what you want refer to my ranger guide. Most importantly, HAVE FUN! This is your life not mine, and these statements are merely opinions based on what I do/would do. Enjoy yourself and you'll never want to quit.
