Flying Shadow

I bond, leap and stalk

I run after beams of moonlight

Me, the eluding darkness

But as a moth is drawn to flame

I am to your spirit,

Your sweetness and your fierceness.

You intrigued my mind

and you captured my heart.

My soul was struck

by something akin to the lightning bolts

you so gracefully smite your enemies with.

It wasn't love at first sight

or was it and I was struck blind.

I know not, it's so new

so sudden for me

to love so much, so soon

after I thought I would never again.

I was afraid to let you close

but I found it so compelling

It was to hold you.

You understood my lonelyness

you didn't give me any pity

You gave me understanding.

My heart now soars as high

if not higher than my leaps

Won't you come fly away with me?

My senshi, my heart, my flame?

Away with me where we can be together

and none can judge us

where our love can be as free

as the bushfire of my heart.
