Friends,

What would I have done,

Without them?

Everyone needs friends,

From the lowest of life forms,

To the highest.

Friends,

Show up,

In some of the most,

Interesting places,

Of some of the most,

Interesting of nationalities.

Do not look a way,

If they do not act,

As one might expect.

For friends,

Come in all forms,

In all sizes,

In all ways.

'As I walked with them, I thought about what I would tell them. Not to mention how I should treat them. After all, they were the first people I would ever camp with. When we got to their camp, I was amazed at how well it was stocked. There were tents all over the place. Big ones and little ones, rectangular and triangular shaped. It looked hilarious. The site was so very amazing.'

"We have an extra tent if you would like to stay in it," Ranoun said.

'I looked up startled, I had been deep in though.' "That won't be necessary. I have my own stuff, not as advanced as tents, but they'll do the job," I responded with a smile. "Just tell me where I won't be any trouble and I'll set myself up."

Looking surprised, he said, "Sure, you can set up over by that silver willow, if you like. My men and I would like to hear about you and how you came to find us fighting, so please come to the fire pit to talk with us."

'Nodding I started off to the willow. It was a beautiful tree, completely silver. Silver bark, silver leaves and it looked like a weeping willow, my favorite tree. It was incredible. Smiling I went up to it and spoke, "hello, you won't mind if I sleep under you, would you friend tree?"

There was a slight silence before it answered. "That is quite fine with me human, my name is Telk. What is yours?" he asked in a deep voice.

"I'm Remembrance. Would you please tell me about your kind and what your history is in the tapestry of Shev, Telk?" I answered. "We are the Silver Willows. We are one of the oldest of the trees. We are cousins to Somber Willows as will as the Golden Willows. We were the seventh types of tree to be created. We haven't done much and are history isn't all that great. We have just led the life that any other tree has led. But let me tell you about the Somber Willows ... will not now, since you must speak with the elevens first, but later," he said.

"Sure, I can't wait to here about," I said as I started to walk off.

'While I was walking to the campfire, I had decided to "blend" in with the surrounding. In short I was going to spy on them, before letting them know I was there. When I got there, I sat down and open my diary under a pretty tree, after saying hi to it. I started to write a poem about the day I had had, while listening to the conversation.

You can never tell,

What the day will have in store for you.

What will it bring,

You will find surprises around the bend.

You meet new people,

What fun and joy you encounter through them.

You solve new problems,

What excitement you find within these problems.

What shining dreams,

You full fill throughout the day.

What the day will have in store for you,

You can never be sure.

'After I had finished my entrée in my diary, the conversation began to pickup.

"What do you think about that human?" one of the elevens asked.

"I don't know, she is wise for a human," another eleven with copper hair answered.

"I think she should have minded her own business!" the angry kinsmen said.

"Felin, you say that now, but later you will think differently. She had saved you from dishonoring your family more," an older eleven said.

"I think she is but a child," began another, even older eleven. "Remember when she healed the stormwing? She used a book and even then she didn't know what she was doing."

"Very right, Dilve, but she has a good heart, that you can't fault her," another old eleven said.

"That's enough talk you lot," said Determin. "She will be joining us shortly. Do not embarrasses us."

'I t was time to speak up, before I made a very bad impression. So after Determin had finished talking I spoke. "You don't have to worry about embarrassing yourselves, I am the one who must worry about such." I had finished with a shy smile. It had just gotten a little bit warmer if you know what I mean.'

'Everyone was staring at me, they were more than surprised that I had sneaked up on them. And from the way I sat it was obvious that I had been there for a while.

"You should all be ashamed of yourselves," abolished Ranoun. "She appeared here without your knowledge. And you call yourselves warriors!?!"

I laughed softly, gaining their attention again. "I've always been able to move quietly, so don't feel to bad. I've done it since I was knee high to a grasshopper." Which was true, I've always been able to.

'During the time I was with the elevens, I learnt so very much about them. I learnt about their culture and how it wasn't male dominant. I was more than thrilled at the news, I can tell you. I got to talk with the older elevens who had been mentioning me before. Their names were Owne, Dilve, and Rutilen from youngest to oldest. They told me so much about themselves, mostly tall tales of what they had done as youths. Whenever some one would ask about myself, I would steer them away from their questions. I didn't trust them all yet. Soon, I was saying good night and heading to my bedroll. When I returned, I slept like a baby.
